Post by: Jay Arnold on 06 December 2013, 04:30:35 AM
In case you haven't heard, there is a great history podcast focusing on revolutions through history. The current episodes center on the English Civil Wars. I get it through iTunes on my spacephone, but I suppose any podcasty downloady thingie will work just fine.

Check it out.

For the Rome fans, the same presenter cut his teeth on an exhaustive history of Rome podcast called, well, The History of Rome Podcast.

A great pair of series very worthwhile listening to.   I listened to Rome twice now and I am almost convinced to do late empire, almost.

You have to do Later Imperial Roman for three simple reasons:
1) they are sculpted by Clib, I have some on the painting table and they are beautiful.
2) Funky, historical, colourful, if slightly spurious shield designs from the Notitia Dignitatum.
3) you can play Dux Bellorum!

Reason four, I have a masters in Later Roman Military History, so many different battles and opponents; most are other Later Roman factions, but Clib is promising goths which will be awsome!
