Seems not that long ago since i painted my first pendraken ww2 model, the churchill avre. I posted pics straigth away on the forum here, on the 23rd of december 2012.
Now, almost a year later, i finished the last of my british troops, and decided to put things togheter and take a picture!
Here is everything ww2 i painted in since 23 december last year :D :D :D

Let's hope next year is as productive as this year <:-P <:-P <:-P <:-P
I would certainly say that has been productive, nice one! :-bd
Thx!
I did forget to fit the scenery in the picture though :D :D :D
Not too bad for a years worth of work.
I started thinking it would be good for me to track how much I paint in a year so I can better understand how long it might take me to complete a project. But the more I think about it the more I realize I really don't want to know. I have grandiose ideas for projects and I really don't want to know that it might take 10 years or more to complete some... :P
Just start small and keep adding to it, that's what i did. Paint everything i had and then when it's (nearly) finished, buy some more! It helps you not to loose heart!
Excellent stuff Peter !
Cheers - Phil.
Productive!
As a matter of interest, have you got an OOB? I love a nice OOB.
Looks luverrly, BUT and its a big but, dont go looking at any of that there Nik Harwood's posts, he doesnt measure painting time in years but hours.

Not really, but i based my platoons etc of fred 12df's site, for the right numbers etc..
For example: my british infantry platoon mimics fred's one, only exception is i didn't get a wasp for the carrier platoon:

My tanks however just come in squadrons, representing support derived from other regiments.
That's quite a haul! Congrats! 8)

I better get back to painting some more of my ww2.
Rich.

Hehehe - I painted 55 x 28mm WW2 US Airborne figures last weekend...3.5 hours from black undercoat ;) <)
If only my basing materials & spray matt varnish wasn't in a storage unit, I'd finish 'em :-\
Come on then finish the farm then, and unload the unit. :!! :-w
;) ;)

This is excellent advice, it's those small moments of triumph when you have almost painted everything you have, that really spur you on to paint more.
I've been adding to my collection for over forty years now - still find new things to paint. What a great hobby - keeps me off the streets, stops me spending money I don't have and keeps me interested. :) :) :)
I thought the same ;D ;D
I also have a wife who's a qualified book-keeper. Which helps. ;)

Helps!!!! :o I would of thought that was a hindrance ;)
I find that having stuff posted to work helps. Unfortunately I was spotted carrying a box of TimeCast buildings and other terrain home just before Christmas :(
I sort of got away with it, they became my Christmas present ;D Fortunately she didn't spot me bringing the AWI figures home a few weeks earlier.
I let all my stuff arrive at my folks' house :D
This is getting sad! :(
I know I'm lucky in my relationship, as people are often talking about sneaking stuff in the house, or having to earn brownie points to be allowed to do something. If I want something and can't wait until I buy it at a show , I just order it to be delivered to my home. When it arrives I show it off saying "I just bought this!". End of! ;)
I must also say my missus is extremely supportive of my hobby and even helps me do scenery shes so much more artistic than me
take care

Yes, indeed. If I could persuade my other half to take up painting figures I'd be a happy man. Her attention to detail makes me look, frankly, slapdash.
Well, she doesn't mind me buying stuff, but i have big batches delivered to my folks, and show them off in small batches :P
We have a relative small house, and the stuff is mounting up, so if she sees a big package the inevitable question of "where are you going to put that"always comes up ;D
Should be better if i get my hobby room 8)

And does she show you what she has "just bought" the next day ;D
I should say my wife is supportive overall, even though a little perplexed by my hobby :)
