Did anyone else get an email in the last couple of days saying that Skytrex were trading again?
I thought they had gone bust?
Treating is with suspicion as well here. Got that email and atm they are only selling decals and ships will be back "soon".
Wait and drink tea as the German saying goes.....
This is a new company 'Skytrex 2013' which bought the remaining assets from the administrator. Same address etc but different company registration number. I understand it is headed by a former Skytrex employee but not one of it's owners and definitely not the dentist who was allegedly fleecing his patients.

Is that in writing?
I heard a rumour that it's one of the casters, one of the office staff, and the former show guy who have all bought it up. I'm not sure how they managed to buy everything when each range was subject to closed bids, I'm assuming they offered the administrators a lump sum and they took it.
Hmmmmm..... :-\ :-\ :-\

My feeling exactly.
Directors of the 'old' Skytrex
http://www.companieslist.co.uk/01072692-skytrex-limited
Details for Skytrex 2013

So different companies but does not preclude the involvement of former directors I suppose
(managed to make a new post rather than modifying the previous one >:()
IIRC a Director that is found guilty of fraud etc is banned from becoming a Director of another company for a set number of years. I could be wrong of course :-[.
Nobody said he is the director now ;)
Think that's right Steve....
But even as a 'banned director'.... I believe you can be a 'consultant' for another company.....and draw a nice salary.
Cheers - Phil.
I'm really pleased Skytrex are up and running again. Over the years myself and some mates spent some £100's with them, although not for a long while now. I think I am correct in saying that Skytrex were the original people in our scale, except they were 1/200th rather than 1/150th.
David Bailey, who is now the director, was always the fellow we would deal with if possible. He always was extremely helpful. and more importantly gave a good discount for bulk. He is the chap who mans their stand at shows.
The dentist fellow was a cold fish who never seemed to smile. I refused to buy any Skytrex WW2 planes because I thought they were way overpriced, and the dentist-fellow (never could remember his name) had the attitude that they had to be expensive because they didn't sell many!! :-\
David was the man that did all of the work and without the other fellow I am sure he will turn it around and make it a success. I hope so anyway as as far as I could see he is a good egg. :)
Cheers, Rob :) :)
I agree. I've dealt with Skytrex over the years and always found them helpful and their products well-made. I'd be glad to see them up and running on a stable basis.
Oh, and as for the dentist - was that "fleeced" or "flossed"?
He just left people feeling down in the mouth
Get your coat Will. ;)
Cheers - Phil.
It's cold, already wearing it! :P
