It's going to look a lot like Stonehenge. ;)
But we're still no closer to finding out how they got the things the 150 miles to Wiltshire and why. Why not just build the henge in South wales? :-\
Some people just like doing things the hard way.....
I suppose you could say that the extension has been done already.
Doesn't actually look like Stonehenge....But the Mother-in-law lives in it....and she's as old as an ancient Druid....So there's some sort of link. ;)
She had a very interesting job during the later part of her life......Test pilot in a broom factory. :P
Cheers - Phil.

They probably just carved then out ready....and then waited for a glacier to take them South for the Winter. ;)

Didn't think it wuz dat cold even in South Wales, even if civilization has stayed at same level as time the Henge wuz bulided.
IanS ;) ;)
If it was constructed when 'they' say it was....The above's not too likely....I know. ;) ;D ;D ;D
Sure I heard some chap come up with the 'theory' that a number of the bigger stones could have been shifted by glaciers from here, and across the Bristol channel during the last ice age.
Er....When was that ?......6,000 years ago ?....Have to look it up. :-\
Cheers - Phil
Wiltshire is a lot more east than south of you I think you'll find.
I wonder how many sunk on the way?
Surely somewhere in Wales there's just a big set of holes in a circle? Shouldn't be that hard to find.

Nah !
There are the odd, small pieces of Bluestone at Techno Towers...presumably from the site the Stonehenge Bluestones came from. (Not far from home)
I've often wondered whether the Stonehenge stones were dragged 'down the lane', outside.
I give in. Why are we suddenly resurrecting a thread fromb12 years ago?
Disertation for an Archology Degree ? :-*

It's about archaeology, it can go back millennia.
