Good and inspiring battle reports!
Is the Sturmovik from Zvezda or is it a metal plane? Looks great on the table 8)
It's the zvezda one! I have all of them, waiting to be painted. Also have 4 of the revell kits that pendraken supplies, great stuff too!
When you get both sets togheter you got a nice mix of planes for eastern and western front!
The typhoon from the second battle report for example is the one pendraken sells and is a very nice kit!
Very nicely done
take care
andy
It's a nice model. I have two 1/144 Ju-87 from Revell I want to use in these games.
Mmm... I guess I need some soviet bombers too :-\ hehehe... :D

I got 2 of those too, one from revell and one from zvezda. The revell one is much more detailed though!
nice paint !

Very nice.
If I may be so bold as to suggest a further improvement...
Some flock on the bases s well as tufts?
Thanks Lemmy!
I've made the effort to texture the base, so if i decided to put few flock, so it can be visible...
I am experimenting a little bit with basing
You say that you are experimenting with your bases. If I can throw my tuppence worth in might I suggest that you use lighter colours on your bases, especially as you have dark colours on your figures. It's amazing the difference it makes. They are nicely painted and a lighter base will make them stand out more.
Very nice I think it takes a bit of experimentation before one is completely happy.
Take care
andy
Looking very very good.
I like the texture of the bases.
The German forces so far... They are almost finished.

Word of warning on the Zvezda Sturmovik, it's the single-seat Il-2 which proved a liability in action. The improved two-seat Il-2M is a lot more dificult to find in 1/144th scale.
The Battlefront models one is actually 1:144!

It's also £11.00 compared to £2.69 for the Zvezda one. I'm not eight quids worth of interested in that level of detail :)
I know, I know, what a cheapskate!!
The german force has a powerful looking, good work. Love the bases and the paint. congrat.
I have finished the Wehrmacht forces... 8)
Including two riflemen companies, one horse recon platoon and one machine gun platoon.
I am working on the Russians...

Are the bases different colours to tell the units apart?
Black Death! Cool! 8)
Yes, it is an easy way to spot which squads belong to which platoon on the gaming table. :)
Thanks Lemmy!
I keep working on the russians, a SU-76 ready for action:

What he said.
Can I ask which figures you used for the crew?
Of course, I've used figures from SV6 82mm mortar with crew
cheers
Here is the Stuka finished :)
I wanted to paint it really weathered and with long-term combat action. It fits very well 10mm figures.
Happy 2015 to everybody in the forum! All the best for this new year.
