An AAR of an AVBCW game that I played a week or so ago. I've also included some post match thoughts which might be of interest to some gamers. Hope you enjoy it.

Fore!
Good report, nice after thoughts too. 8)
wow, nice table, great figures and awesome cows. There is also a plane and a boat...wow.
great, indeed.
Nice 1 steve and thanks for taking the time to post this. I have learnt the same lessons the hard way too. Its what put me off CWC having too many units on the table and wide open spaces typical of northern europe meant shooting matches which were pretty dull and uninspiring
Have your troops got NO sense of decorum Steve.....Tramping across the green like that ! ;)
Good report !
Cheers - Phil.
Maybe they have the odd cease fire to replace mortar shell divets

I did think of a few house rules that would reflect the outrage at such ungentlemanly behaviour, but simply didn't have the time to give them a go :(.
Hello Steve J
Great report. Heard your pain about too many units and forgetting parts of the game. For this reason I've moved over to a card based system for solo games, not because the mechanics are any better but because each unit has a card so I'm less likely to forget them :D.
Cheers

Good idea Grumpy!
A nice looking game. It's a shame it didn't give the type of game you hoped for. All I can suggest is a bit of rough and dive into the sand bunkers (5 to hit in each case ;) .
The bunkers were going to be hit on a 5+, but sadly the troops never got close enough to take advantage of this :(.
as one of the blunders " Rake missing unit is suppressed for a turn while they smooth the sand out"
