Yeah, Antwerp has scuppered all the moulding at this end, so we're getting back on track with the mail orders before we get anything new released.  At the moment, I would expect it to be the WWII trucks/vehicles previewed recently, and then the Mongols will be following on towards the end of the month hopefully.

That does sound a little desperate. I have some suggestions ... well, one ... and you can probably guess what that is.

I think it might be related to the Romans.

Since I just bought a copy of Sharp Practice (Napoleonic skirmish rules), I'd like to know when (or if...) The Nappy Brits are to be updated?

I spoke to the designer a couple of weeks ago, and we're hoping to have the first batch of sculpts through before the end of the year hopefully.  Release wise, it would be well into next year for them to hit the catalogue, as we'd want to have a decent range of codes to launch with.

Hmm... well, I hadn't planned on buying before Christmas anyway, and the old ones will do fine at first anyway.

It's not as though I actually like the period anyway, I just like skirmish gaming...

Yeah, well  :-[

I'm now a picture of tranquility. I am content to enjoy the delights of the Centurion, and don't agitate for anything now - but if there's Byzantines, T35, chariot armies or Korean War Chinese going ... count me in.

I'm a man who appreciates variety. Beside, how shocked would Ramses be if the Hittites rocked up in a T-35?

Are the Citroen and Lancia trucks expected in the November release and will they beat the November 26 deadline for the rest of the world Chrissie stuff. :-S :-S ???

Incidentally does the Citroen come with a canvas tilt?

Cheers

Almost as shocked as the Russians, I would think.  :D

I liked the 6th, it was my first "real" wargames ruleset, some bits were iffy, like the Ancient British/Egyptian Panzer Divisions or the triple armed Roman Legionaries Darts/Javelins/Pila (they must have been strong blokes to carry that lot into battle) but they gave a fair enough game.

I think we should end this train of thought before someone says the "C" word.

It'll be the Citroen truck, which doesn't have a tilt currently, but we'll see if one of the German ones will be suitable.  Also, the Lorraine and Lancia trucks should be a go as well.

Dave

I still have a copy of the 3rd Edition - the rules that put me off ancients for thirty years. I throw darts at it sometimes.

First ruleset I owned (as opposed to the Don Featherstone ones on more or less permanent loan from the library) and the first thing I bought mail order was the original WRG Ancients ruleset. Photocopied (or possibly long enough ago to have been Roneod!) and stapled together.

I remember my parents being somewhat baffled at the idea that one might send a Postal Order to someone one didn't know and who didn't even have a proper shop!
