"I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by." - Douglas Adams
You've gone and done it now Leon - you mentioned the C word.... I now have to start giving things serious thought about what to buy for whom and then leave it till the 24th to do!

Socks and a jumper again?
I would have thought a tank top for his Centurion would be more suitable than a jumper
So its too late to order for the USA. :'(
Greetings

I suspect a typo somewhere as 2nd November was a Saturday so more likely it refers to Monday 2nd
December?

Wow, the US postal service sucks!
I guess in a couple of years the Royal Mail will have dropped to that standard.

Very good.
I love the Royal Mail. When you live on your own & have no-one to sign for stuff the Royal Mail are a pleasure to deal with.
Will Santa be bringing my Mongols for Christmas Leon??? I've been good(ish). :D

Might I enquire how the Dark Caverns of Pendraken will be celebrating the festivities? Hopefully you will be enjoying a well deserved break with plenty of Games Workshop fare to keep the fires blazing. Some relaxing downtime in front of the festive telly, with your arms wrapped around the arms of the one you love, or indeed the family? Are you actually capable of laying aside your mighty burden, or do you sketch potential new figures on your Christmas napkin? (League of Ausberg canary sellers, League of Ausberg grenadiers of extraordinary tallness, League of Ausberg Aztec machine gunners, League of Ausberg light armoured kangaroos.) And what have you crayoned onto your wish list for Santa? World peace (but with the occasional bush war to keep the ranges up) or mayhap new evidence that the Emperor Leopold I travelled extensively in the antipodes or indeed that FSN ends his dalliance with 10mm, finds 15mm again and buggers off to annoy Peter Pig?
Whatever, I hope it's not too early to wish you the compliments of the season and all the very best.
This year we'll actually be taking some time off over Xmas, something we've never done before (Well that's the plan at least...!) In previous years, Dave's quite often been out casting on Xmas morning, just keeping on top of things, so this year we'll put a big notice on the website saying we're closed, and that all orders will be dealt with on our return.
For myself, as long as I don't get ill, I'm happy. The last 3 years I've been out of action for 1-2 weeks over Xmas/New Year, and I'm hoping this strange annual bug doesn't get me this time around.

'tis always the way. You work hard and then when you take a break - kapow! Accumulated illness catches up with you.
The forum won't be closed will it? It'll be bad enough spending another Christmas alone - a discarded Tukey and Stuffing Pot Noodle, a glass that has not been chinked in merry salute with another, a cracker unpulled for want of a companion's hand - without access to the cheerful messages of my forum brothers proclaiming their festive greetings and sharing news of the Pendraken goodliness their loving families have presented to them wrapped in gaudy paper and glittering twine.
I'll be all right. :'(

Something big ? HAve you bought over the EE , scrapped all their 28mm malarkey, and revamped warmaster @-)
I also have a Soviet army on the way. My Xmas will probably be spent on my own with lots of Pendraken goodies to keep me company.
Happiness is.

I hope i'll be spending christmass with union and confederate tropps :P
And the wife and wilderbeast of course...
Just got to paint these british paratroops and leftover tanks first...
my xmas normally involves assembling toys all morning, intervening in fights all afternoon, getting slightly drunk and falling on the fire, then washing up... can't wait
Greetings
Our children have opted for a quiet family Christmas Day i.e. just four of us, so I might get a few minutes for some miniature time at some point on the day itself.

i hate bloody xmas :-q
Since my other half and I split up, several years ago now, I timeshift Xmas to Boxing Day. These days I have my parents, the two sprogs and my daughter-in-law round for lunch on the 26th and spend the 25th in gentle preparation, outright piggery and the destruction of pixel spaceships in EVE Online in about equal measure. I love Xmas, me.
I go the other way. My daughter comes to see me on Xmas Eve and that's when we do the whole Xmas thing. Xmas day is either spent with my mother (such fun!) or quietly on my tod with a boxed set of something, and some engaging activity. (This year it will probably be painting some 1941 Russians :> .)
I find that by mid afternoon on Christmas day I would like everyone to go back home and leave us in peace so we can do what we want, rather than engage in conversation or quizes that go on forever.
24th lunch at friends, afternoon leaving the screen (TV+PC) only upon severe threats of violence
25th presents for the hooligan (daughter), leaving the screen (TV+PC) only upon severe threats of violence
26th no idea
27th possibly meal gathering with friends
28th no idea
29th Counterstrike with friends.
30th leaving the screen (TV+PC) only upon severe threats of violence
31st ditto
1st ditto
2nd revert to normal duties
Last call for UK orders is Tuesday night, so not long left to get them in to us!

Depending on when my paint order arrives, my Xmas will be spent resurrecting some Vallejo paint & using it... 8)
