Now then,
Heres a few photos of my 10mm Ancient Britons. Not all the modes are Pendraken but a couple of hundred of them are. This is probably my favorite army. It took ages to paint, i started them in 2004, i think they were finally finished in 2007. since then they have spent most of the time in a box on a shelf. Anyway, the pics!

The massed warbands....448 individual figures...no wonder it took so long to paint. :)

Scarey closeup of unwashed barbarians.
Cheers for looking
Steve.
Now that really is the 'great unwashed'! The visual impact of a big group like that is excellent.

These are based for Warmaster Ancients i take it?
Top-notch mate, top-notch 8)
Those are stunning en-masse :)

They are based for Warmaster Ancients, although im planning on using them for FOG in the near future. Im not rebasing them though....life really is too short!
Steve.

Congratulations is a really awesome army!!... wooow men so cool
Love them thar chariots
Cracking army, i have a question though, how did you make sure the big warband didnt end up looking like a bunch of clones?
Did you have a special technique in sorting the minis etc?
Thanks
The last pic reminds me of Fulham Broadway on a Saturday afternoon ;D

I didnt have any sort of system, i just mixed them up, please note that they are from a variety of diffrent maufacterers, which helped. The last thing you want with a warband/barbarian army is any sort of uniformality!
Cheers
Steve.
:o Absoluetly cracking!
Great looking Britons! I have been slowly, ok, very, very slowly, painting an Anglo-Saxon army for Warmaster Ancients. No hurry since everyone around here fled to FoG and now are stuck with that system. I found WMA a much better mass battle rules system.
Good Luck with your Ancient Britons in FoG and the still look smashing :D

Hi Blaker,
Interesting that you say that they are "stuck" with Fog. I dont plan to rebase my armies, all i have to do is make some sort of base extension for the chariots, that can be removed if i play other rulesets. I too still enjoy the odd game( athough rare) of Warmaster. I havent played Fog yet but like to keep my options open, and try new rules quite often. I experimented with Impetus last year but no one liked it, so this year its FOG!!
If all else fails we just play DBA, or BBDBA...
Steve.
