Title: 11th Century Mosaics in the Cathedral of Casale Monferrato, Italy
Post by: Druzhina on 27 October 2013, 11:13:57 AM
There are mosaics of biblical scenes in the Cathedral (Duomo) of Sant'Evasio:
Knights in 'Abram Defeats the Four Kings', Casale Monferrato, Italy, 11th century (http://warfare.likamva.in/6C-11C/Casale_Monferrato.htm)
Two infantry fighting, Casale Monferrato, Italy, 11th century (http://warfare.likamva.in/6C-11C/Casale_Monferrato-2.htm)

Does anyone know anything more about these? When were they rediscovered? Have they been published? Are there any more photos?
