Spaniards and Canari vs Incas. Even with rain, the Incas didn't have a chance.

Atahualpa's supporters wiping out the Canari auxiliaries in Spanish service. One of two successes (they also hit the rondeleros front and back, to my horror).
Nothing in American armies stands up to a lance charge!

It was raining, and curiously enough the matchlockmen didn't kill one enemy! Likewise the crossbows and artillery.

All in all, I'm no longer sure Aztecs are worth painting, pretty though they look. Unless one slows down the Conquistadors with a xxxxxx of a lot of Tlaxcalans.
(These are genitors who thought they were Irish once.)

I thought the Tlaxcalans were allied to the Spanish ?
Did I misunderstood something ?
( I've got a very big cold, my brain may be even slower today..  @-) )

....and as a collection of stone-age feather-wearers would therefore dilute the effectiveness of the Spanish army, laddie. Like watering down a brandy.

I think the Incas could have done with some jungle terrain, fighting heavy horse on a bowling green isn't cricket
