Battle will be finished tonight, more pics to follow......
Good stuff!
Are those our Toldi II's? There's some more Hungarian armour in the pipeline for us.
Nice to see you gaming in a 'proper' scale Mark :P ;) ;D
Yes, the Toldis are Pendraken Toldi I posing as Toldi II.
The Hungarian infantry are Pendraken WW1 Germans, with some WW2 Germans mixed in, and MG08/15 for the LMG.
The Turan I and II and Nimrods are Pitehead, and the Ba-10s and T-70s are Magister Militum.

More photos added.
We didn't finish the game, we could have done with another night - it could still have gone either way!
Looks nice. Out of interest how big is your table?
Table is permanent 5'x7', held up by bookcases, the space underneath holding all the terrain. 16x12' room, holds all my wargames stuff, 800+ books, figures, painting workbenches and pc. With the rules I use for micro that makes the battlefield 2100m x 1500m.
Being a permanent table, battles can be left up for weeks if necessary. We normally do a 15mm Napoleonic campaign on a Monday night, some battles last 6 weeks, but then we might be fighting 50,000 men a side at 1:20 ratio :) Any gamers in the Lancashire/West Yorks area are welcome to join in. Oh and the local wargames club is 5 mins walk away, on a Tuesday night.

I'm so envious of your games room Mark, talk less of your collection of books :(.
OO OO me me me im west yorks, where are you? You can help me sort out my battlegroups.
;D ;D
Am in Burnley, only a few miles from the border! Text or call me on 07857 494563 if you want to visit, i have no problem helping sort out your battlegroups. I work from home so most times are okay, or you can join in a game of whatever's on.

Really nice looking battlefield.
Unfortunately I can only see 1 photo (is this because I don't have a facebook account?)
I always loved the Hungarian armour. The Csaba is my favourite armoured car of WW2, always liked the story of how the guy brought the turret to Britain.
Hope to see more pics
cheers

I treid the link just now, works fine for me. Hmmmmm
It works OK if I log into my Facebook, but it won't work for those without a Facebook.

Thanks Mark, that one works fine. Good looking game! 8)
sovietbob ( Bob French) co-conspiritor with Mark to bring the battle of Oskrimia to you, this is based on the extreme left flank of Hungarian attempt to drive North and sever the Soviet spring offensive that shatters Army group centre, the soviet spearheads have moved on to the west and a infantry bttn and supports with some recce elements are securing the southern flank, having arrived during the night they have dug foxholes but little else and the battlefield is littered with the hulks of the previous fighting, Dawn breaks with a Hungarian air raid aimed at the railyards ( the large craters from 1000kg bombs) and the hasty launch of the Hungarian counter attack,
Hungarian Infantry are a mix of pendraken WW1 and WW2 germans,Tanks are the new Toldi casting and Pithead Turans, Nimrods and Zyrini. with Pendraken PZ1V and StuG111 and a Tiger 1
Russians Infantry and supports are Pendraken apart from the T70's and BA10's which are Magister Militum.
Russian cossacks sweep in and eliminate Hungarian A/T btty only to be routed by Hungarian pioneers with flamethrowers in return, the Toldi's deal with soviet BT7's(from a recce plttn) and SU122's but lose vehicles to A/T guns to the flank, infantry fight it out in the centre, Soviet T34/76 coy and some T70's restore the front but the Hungarian Nimrods sweep through on the other flank
