Title: Sources for Medieval Flemish Infantry
Post by: Druzhina on 13 October 2013, 02:58:36 AM
Two sources seem to be the main ones used for Medieval Flemish Infantry:
The Courtrai chest (http://www.liebaart.org/oxford_e.htm) and
Leugemeete frescos (now lost): De Liebaart - The Pike (http://www.liebaart.org/lans_e.htm), De Liebaart - The Town Militias (http://www.liebaart.org/stadsm_e.htm) & De Liebaart - The Crossbow (http://www.liebaart.org/kruisb_e.htm).

These were used by Ian Heath for his Brabançon or Flemish Spearman, 12th-13th Centuries (http://warfare.atspace.eu/Medieval2/Feudal-43-Spearman-12-13C.htm) & Staff Weapons (http://warfare.atspace.eu/Medieval2/Feudal-38-Staff_Weapons-12-13C.htm) etc.

Are there any better pictures of either of these?

This made me grin:

Are any attendees still doubting my historically correct reconstruction of the 'Goedendag'?
