Title: M3 GRANT
Post by: barbarian on 08 October 2013, 10:29:23 PM
I've added the sand skirts and some other things. I have 5 others to do. As I don't play North Africa, they may end up on Ebay.

Great model , will there be a Grant with sandshields appearing in the Pendraken catalogue anytime soon, it is the iconic image from the WW2 Western Desert campaign .

Tho' I could wish your admirable skill as a sculptor were applied to something not already available in profusion....

To get your damned Mexicans get as annoying as Dazza and FSN

Ref! All I did was respectfully raise the matter, and then waited patiently for a very, very long time, occasionally dropping in mentions of my request, and others seemed to notice.

I have also been known to humbly suggest that the T35, Byzantines and chariot armies be added to the Pendraken catalogue, but I hope I was never annoying!  :P

But FK has been asking for mesomexican types since the forum opened...
He does have seniority.

The Aztecs are always in contention, they seem to hover around the lower end of the Top 10 requests, sometimes up, sometimes down.  They would need some kind of boost, possibly external, like a new set of rules, to bring some new interest into the period.  At the moment, we've got too much going on to warrant the sculpting time on something which may not prove to be a big selller.

What can I say? I think Mr Kitty has been asking for Aztecs since before I joined the forum. I feel his pain, even though I know I'd never be tempted.  I watched that Mel Gibson film "Anaglypta" and felt nothing but wondered when the big blue Avatars would show up. I watched "Kings of the Sun" with Yul Brynner and just ended up whistling "shall we dance?" I even watched the early Dr Who adventure set there or thereabout and prayed for a Dalek. I watch "Q" with David Carradine and hoped he just kung-fu some big flying snakey arse. ('scuse, pardon.)

I obviously don't have the heart for Aztecs, but I don't feel responsible for their non-appearance. They weren't here before when I wasn't here.

Perhaps Leon would like to comment at this point. (Please don't say they will be after the T35, the Byzantines and some chariot armies, which will of, course, be behind some more important LOA stuff like the vital goose-girls and the oft-requested engineers-with-coats-off-enjoying-a-drink-of-water. )

...FK,I  know, but I need to work from scratch as my first attempt was a little too thin.
I may put my hand on it again, but I don't have time for anything.

May I suggest Eureka, in their Fantasy range ? They have 3 different codes, you may want to have a look at them.

Seen 'em. They really look like fantasy stuff in one case, and cover only two types. It would be a bit like "Here's a 42nd Highlanders piper and a Polish lancer - let's do Waterloo". I think I'll go back to bridge. Unless there's kickstarter potential.
