I would be surprised if it came anywhere near a cinema where I live...Really want to see it though

Never been too sure about war films and the whole love story sub plot nonsense...

Bit too much CGI in this too. Far prefer to see vintage vehicles and aircraft in the flesh.

I'm guessing I'll need to track this down on-line and get the dvd. Definitely something I'd want to watch.

Looks like it's based (however loosely) on Pavlov's House and there were a number of civilians trapped in the building so while the romance is most likely "Hollywood History" it is plausible.

After years of "Combat Mission", "Company of Heroes" and "Theatre of War" I'm used to cgi hardware. Better than the old "Patton Tank with a cross on the side" Panzers I remember from my early exposure to war films.

Like the Red Baron when planes moved without any movement of flaps or tailplane.

And flew at jet engine speeds!

Another trailer:

This film still has to make it's debut in Russia (planned for 10 Oktober). But is is being marketed abroad as well. For example, all German dialogue is subtiteld in Russian, rather than the usual overdubbed with Russian.

And yes, agree on the CGI, Hollywood style spectaculars and so on. But if it were to appear in a cinema near me, I would still like to see it, I suppose.
