Post by: chalkie on 03 October 2013, 03:55:09 PM

Everything, and a mix of scales.

You've done well there, they've only got a small amount of trade space at Durham, and actually cut the numbers at the last show, so congrats on getting in!

My advice would be to get a mix of things ready now, and start selling them through eBay.  Use those sales to see what does/doesn't sell, and then prepare things in multiple for when you start the shows.  Better to have more than enough and bring some home, than not have enough and miss out on a sale.

Thanks Leon, Ian the secretary was at my house tonight buying some terrain, I had email his club not knowing it was him. He said there should be no problem me attending as a trader but will confirm in a weeks time but he's convinced it will be ok. I've been selling stuff on eBay and everything has sold, I only have a problem on knowing what to charge for things :-\  iam we'll chuffed though.  :)

Multiple items that are cheap to cover costs, plus a few standout items to catch peoples eyes.
Have a look at The Battle Reports section, roads, hedges, trees, hills and fields may be dull, but we all use them.
Big kit could be an albatross round your neck, think what are you going to sell most of and what will generate repeat sales.
Timecast sell innumerable huts and shacks, but if you ask them will they ever do Huegamont the answer is no, because how many people would use it on a regular basis.
However, a farm house, some walls and some out buildings covers a multitude of battlefields.

Excellent, Ian came out for a drink and an Indian with all of us at the Derby show, really nice chap.  I need to email him actually, as we've just done a mould for him.

M.D that's great advice. Leon, yeh he seems a nice bloke, just got to wait for him to confirm it now, really hoping it comes off as it's the break I need to be honest, he seems sure it will like.
