Title: 1/144th diecast planes
Post by: Steve J on 27 September 2013, 03:01:14 PM
I came across this company whilst browsing the internet a week or so ago:
http://www.eastleighmodelsupplies.com/completestocklist.htm

They have a great range of diecast planes and their service is excellent. The IXO Juniors range is a steal at £3.99 as they are the same as the IXO/Altaya ones you normally see (£8.00-£15.00 + per plane normally) , but packaged in a different way. I ordered 4 bombers for just shy of £25 inc p&p, so they worked out at just over £6 per plane.

The models are really very nice and I will put up more details on my Blog tomorrow, including plenty of pics. I recommend you take a look at what they have, as I'm very happy with my purchases :).

Nice range and good prices but ..... too many hoops to jump through to buy them

The process for me was:

- e-mail list of purchases.
- e-mail sent to me with total cost inc p&p.
- send cheque.
- receive goods.

Not as quick and easy as online ordering, but I got the goods at less than half price compared to the next cheapest retailer, so worth that little bit of extra effort IMHO.

Cheque? I remember those :)

These days it has to be something pretty vital to get me to buy anything online that I can't pay for with Paypal
