Nice, nice, lovely, lovely, lovely! I knew there was a reason I was delaying Pendraken ordering day!
Very excited. Love the zombie children!
I like zombies. They're the only truely unbeatable supernatural foe. Vampires can be chased off with a vegetable, and beaten by a piece of 4x2 judiciously applied. Werewolves are really only a problem once a month (no female comments inserted here) and for every other problem there's large calibre handguns, but zombies just keep on coming.
How many zombies make a horde? Shall I go and do some research "the Living Dead", "Dead Set" etc?
May have to lie down in a darkened room and plan "Escape from Zombie High", "Battersea Dog Zombies", "Zombies and Centurions!"
In the spirit of Mongol Yak Cheese Makers, may I start the additions requests now with Zombie Strippers? Essential I would have thought?
Congrats again Leon !! <:-P <:-P <:-P <:-P <:-P
FSN....There's one of the zombie 'hookers' that should fit in with your 'request' already. ;)
Not sure whether Leon would want me to make any more though. ;D ;D ;D ;D
Cheers - Phil.
Nice one Leon! <:-P <:-P <:-P <:-P <:-P <:-P <:-P <:-P <:-P
AT LAST!!!!
The sci-fi stuff is out and as soon as I've worked out what I want I'll be sending in an order.
YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Does the dance of happiness.
Oh and the survivors. From the look of the master figures published ages ago there looks as if there could be a few female teenage vampire hunters and even English librarians in the pack (after a little cutting and sticking things on).
In the spirit of never being satisfied; where are the command groups the heavy weapons crews and more heavy weapons (no mortars or rocket launchers)? Have you noticed that most Sci-fi ranges forget about indirect fire weapons?
Zombie hookers? Funny I have a home made board game where control of the Hooker gives a player ten additional victory points, but Zombie Hookers... Well, some people are just strange.
D.

Who me ? :o ;)......I was inspired by a couple i saw in some film or other....Honest ! ;)
(One of the Resident Evils ?)
Cheers - Phil.
Dead Set... Davina McCall immortalised in 10mm metal... :o
As for Zombie Hookers, there's a strange but wonderful set of books by the name of "Book of all flesh" "Book of more flesh" and "Book of final flesh", full of short stories about various & very varied zombie types - somewhere in there are zombie hookers :(
Oh, well, I know what I'll be spending money on at the end of the month...
...hmm... I'm basing up 10mm WWII for a skirmish game...
Are the not-ALIENS-honestly new or the same moulds (which I have already)?
Any chance that one of the surprise is made by me ? :P

Wow, some very cool stuff in there. Congrats on the revamp!
Oh the joy! Just ordered a zombie horde.
In case my question was missed - are the Alien Creatures new or same as before (which they look to be)?

They're the same, although they've been remoulded so they're cleaner castings. The new stuff is the Marines, heavy weapons, power armour troops, drones, zombies, survivors, grey aliens and termination robots. Everything else has been cleaned up and remoulded where necessary.

Excellent! I like the new miniatures. Great works!
very nice, I'll be adding a zombie horde to my next order.
Quick question £5 a pack, is that because masters were funded by Phil? (hope this question isn't too impertinent, slap me down if it is, just interested is all - at £5 they are still great value)

Not too sure what you mean by 'funded by'?
We've paid for the sculpts as we do with any range, the price difference is really down to the number of variants in the pack (9), and the corresponding prices of the other Sci-Fi codes, which have always been slightly higher than the historicals (don't ask me why, they just have!). So, if 10 figures are £1.80, then 30 would be £5.40, or £5 if we knock a bit off.

As Matt says, still great value. Any plans to revamp any of the fantasy range?
The new sculpts blow the old ones away PLUS, with the Evil Empire's ditching of Warmaster, could be a good earner. ;)
Nice one, expect an order from me in the next week or so!!
Damn you Leon, now I'm going to need all my 15mm zombie stuff replicated in 10mm!! ;D

Possibly, maybe not a revamp, but we might look at cutting some of the older sculpts and putting them into a separate section at a slightly cheaper price. Then the good quality ranges can be pushed more for the ex-GW 10mm guys, along with maybe some rules.
We do have the new Balori range to come as well, probably at the start of 2014 I'd think.

provide the sculpt/range for free then take a cut on any sales of that range. Which would make sense if its a bit niche and the sculptor just wanted to do them.
demand for zombies is a no-brainer though!

Ah right, I'm with you now. We don't touch royalty deals, it's far too much paperwork, and ties you in to a neverending obligation which can become a hindrance over the longterm. We're much happier to pay a fair price for any work, and then we live with the success/failure of the resulting ranges.
8)
Ah...right...
I was wondering what Matt meant too.
As Leon says though, the paperwork can end up being a right royal pain....To such an extent that in the past I've been asked to remake old 'royalty based' figures to take those out of a certain firm's range where the original designer was getting something around $1 per year per figure.
The firm was ending up spending more on keeping track and paperwork than the royalties they were paying, so the simple solution was to 'dump' the original models and start afresh.
Hope that makes sense !
Cheers - Phil.

I blame the greedy sculptors :D
The are greedy. Greedy for the adoration of the Dark Lord. Remember the sculpting dwarves are raised in the dwarf-caves. There, their hag-mothers withdraw the teat at an early age and feed them instead grey and green putty. With no toys and a diet of putty, the young dwarves do what nature dictates and the lash of the Dark Lord commands and form their own wastes into crude sculpts. Those who cannot create are swiftly despatched, and for the few that remain, serious training can begin. Elder sculpting dwarves, whose eyes are rendered useless by gazing too long upon tiny figures, or whose hands have been lopped off in bizarre sculpting accidents or maimed by jealous rivals in the sculpting pens teach the younglings the basic skills and the form of those they will in later years sculpt.
Every year, the most promising submit their first sculpt to the Dark Lord, who will sit in judgement of them. Those that please him are taken to the sculpting pens for a brutal, hard and short life of toil. The bones of those who don't are piled around the dread throne. Survival for the sculpting dwarf depends upon the continued pleasure of the Dark Lord.
So cut the sculpting dwarves some slack! They may be low, ignorant brutes, who snuffle around in their own filth, but they were made that way, ironically sculpted to be what they are by a harsh master and an unforgiving environment.
Fsn, you know you take the red pill on thursday and the green on wednesday don't you? 'cause i'm guessing you switched them around again...

In the spirit of threads going off topic, can you guys help me?
When I'm not painting 10mm figures I'm writing cross over fanfic for Buffy the Vampire Slayer...as my new Sci-fi figs haven't turned up yet...
I was doing something yesterday and a great plot idea came to me. The story would involve human form andriods but I need to cross over with a film or something.
Any ideas/suggestions for films or TV shows involving andriods, that have nothing to do with 'Battlestar Galatica'? And yes I have thought of Terminator; I've done at least one xover with Terminator but I don't like to revisit xovers I've done before.
Cheers.

Blade Runner ?

Well, I got Blade Runner from HMV yesterday (actually it worked out cheaper than ordering from Amazon) and watched it last night. I'd forgotten how long it was and the director's cut does make more sense than the original.
Yep, I should be able to make something of this. Just through in a little portal between realities and alternate universes and I can get my two fav Buffy characters (Faith and Dawn) to interact in this reality. Of course in my version it'll still be pretty dark and probably not a vampire to be seen!
zombies arrived today :D painted pics soon
Is there a more detailed image of the Survivors pack? In an idiotic way, I was wondering if they could convert to earlier periods. :P
