Thank you for your kind thought. It caught me at a bit of a weak point, and gave me a lift.

Today I received the first master casting of the Centurion, from an anonymous gentleman.

I am truly deeply touched, and look forward to buying many, many more.

Um. I think I might hang up my campaigning boots for now. Though I may tip my hat towards Byzantines, Egyptians, British Napoleonics, T35's, ships and trains, and I am keen to get my hands on some of the recently trailed French and Italian WWII stuff.

Variants - the British go from Mk I - with two types of turret, to Mk 13, then there specific Dutch and Danish variations. The Israelis use mostly Mk 5, but breath on it considerably, so have another 6 types at least, before we start on the APC versions.

Plenty more for FSN to nag for - Not that he is as intrusive as people demanding Tarltons.

or even AZTECS........

sorry was that a rant.

I have attained Pendraken Nirvana. I now float on a cloud of tranquility above the petty squabbles of what should be next created. For surely now that the One has come, the multitude shall follow, and all shall find sufficient unto their needs. For the One has opened the door to the The Land of the Morning Calm, and portents the 55 which shall show the way to the Day of Atonement.

I am content, and see that my temporary inability to wield a brush is an invitation to contemplate the One and see the true meaning of the One, and divine the deeper meaning of the One.

I shall not raise my voice in clamour, nor shall I tug hems in supplication. I shall stand aside and peacefully await that which is promised.

Correct Phil

...Of the finding of the ring....

...As is told in the volume previous to this hound, Valley of the Trolls, D**do B*gger set out one day with a band of demented dwarves and a discredited Rosicrucian named Goodgulf to separate a dragon from his hoard of short-term municipals and convertible debentures. The quest was successful, and the dragon, a prewar basilisk who smelled like a bus, was taken from behind while he was clipping coupons. And yet, though many pointless and annoying deeds were done, this adventure would concern us a good deal less than it does, if that is possible, except for a bit of petty larceny D**do did along the way to keep his hand in... What on earth did Boromir's name become ? I think I can remember most of the others.
Arrowroot, Legolamb, Moxie, Pepsie, Spam, Gimlet ?? (Or am I thinking of Terry P's character).

Bromosel (from Bromo-Seltzer indigestion relief)

Frito, Spam, Moxie and Pepsi, the Boggies. Goodgulf the wizard. Legolam the elf and Gimlet (son of Groin) the dwarf. Bromosel himself and finally Stomper (aka Arrowroot son of Arrowshirt).

I'd forgotten Eorache (Eowyn)!
