Hi
did you know you can download free shield transfers for Gondor from here...Save a lot of painting by hand hassle
http://www.toshachminiatures.com/Fantasy10.htm
I forgot to add...Figures look great
Yes, I did, but I always prefer to do it myself, as far as I am able. If I use those great transfers, the highlight point of the unit won´t be something I´ve done.
Im glad you liked the figures! :D
Archers will go next.
Cheers!
Wondered what they look like painted up, love these
Very nice indeed 8)
They look great, How compatible are copplestone, with Pendraken. I too like to try and paint the shields can drive you mad at times, but fat my clumsy fingers can't get transfers ;D
all the best
Sean
I have got the heroes and evil characters sets. My christmas pressie from the kids. I have been painting both the copplestone and pendraken figures up of late. I will take some comparison pics if I can find the. Camera. The wolves in the copplestone pack are easily twice the size of the pendraken ones. The Pendraken dwarves are a lot chunkier than the copplestone ones. From what I remember the orc characters kind of fit in with the goblins I have got.
Cheers
S
That would be good, because we all appreciate the value of pics.
Great stuff! The Copplestone 10mm range is a gem.
Copplestone size is like warmaster. Pendraken fantasy range is larger (I have some elves) and historic range is a bit smaller. I´ll show you some pics as soon as possible.

Nice, really like that.
the Rangers of The North are too often missed out of Tolkien works, they bring the standard to Aragorn just before they enter the Paths Of a The Dead and fight at Pelannor Fields, Jackson missed a trick with them, but brought the dead instead...
And my last Copplestone units! (for now)

Loving those, especially the Prince of Dol Arimoth. A character that definitely should not have been left out of the LotR movies.

Hetairoi your works are inspiring, as always. Fantastic miniatures! I like your orcs skin color. Do you have any comparative pics with Pendraken, Copplestone and Magister Militium?
Very 8)
Cheers - Phil
I´m afraid I don´t have other orc miniatures... However, I think Pendraken´s goblins could comine well.
And now... More pics!

Hell of a family! :o
Brilliant H!
Great stuff - I feel that the Easterlings are trying to edge away from all the dirty orcs!
As to sizes of orcs - I've got a variety and will try to take some pictures. The copplestone ones are quite slender, should go well with Pendraken goblins. Pendraken orcs are rather unique in style. Don't have the MM orcs, but from their other figures should go OK with these (as do GW ones).
Have you seen Copplestones new 10mm Dwarves.
Your Armys looking awesome.
Regards
Sean
Remarkably good army. :-bd
Those Dwarfs are rather good, but I'm happy with my Pendraken ones at the moment...
Arrgh! Copplestone do lovely figures; why don't they produce something useful? So far the only stuff I've found a reason to buy has been some "horse tribe" cavalry as Alan mercenaries for my east Romans and some "city spearmen" as contemporary German infantry. And the crusades are a relatively minor interest of mine, at that.

But they are useful to anyone gaming in serious periods rather than dealing in fantasy Meso-Americans :)
I have a dilemma. I was going to use the Copplestone 15mm dwarven command as Fire Giants but now I want a dwarven army and I'm not sure I want identically styled dwarves and giants. Decisions, decisions!
Some pictures of my Armies for LOTR.
Not as well painted as Hetairio's but they'll do for me.

Very nice Sean! I'm doing some Copplestones for a fantasy commision - their wolf riders are *lovely*! Just wish there's more archers in the pack - making a light horse archer type unit is awkward with five in six being lancers or waving sabres :/
Very nice work
Good work Sean. They're based for Warmaster yes?
Hi Luddite
They are based for the BOFA boxset rules GW released. But I know these were actually based on their Warmaster rules.
At the moment I have 7 brigades (3 bases a Bde) for my Rohirrim. I also have 14 Bdes of Orcs.
My plan is to replay most of the main battles in 10mm so still got a ways to go lol.
The unit make ups are a bit of a pain especially with the Orc riders. I've just ordered more Rohirrim and Half orcs but think next month ill have a splurge on the Dwarfs. Ill check If I have one or two spare bows in my wolf riders.
Regards
Sean
Some of my Rohirrim.

Very nice Sean, they're a lovely set of figures. I do like the BOFA figs as well - for big massed units they're pretty impressive! Really wish I'd had the funds for a copy or two :(
Great Rohirrim!
Hi Toxic pixie
I bought a copy of the BOFA box set slowly painting them as well.
Ill try and take some pictures of these figures as well not all of the sprue but I have a lot on bases.

Sean
Nice orcs Sean!
Thank you Hetairo
Not as nicely painted as yours by any stretch
But gamesble.

Nice pics dude, I feel another army coming on,,,thanks I think! Minis look good though thanks for sharing, have you found anything that would do for Uruk's
Had time to look through all the LOTR pics, Seans too, awesome guys. Desperate to find Uruk army now, any suggestions?
Aren't uruk and orc different versions of the same word?

I have to resume the proyect... but 6mm is so tempting! :'(
For Uruk, I used Norse and Norman inf, mixed with some medieval infantry.
I chopped the axes and file them into sword.
Nice castings, but look too drilled/regular for Orcs.
