Title: Are you getting quicker?
Post by: fsn on 29 August 2013, 08:07:16 PM
Yesterday was "Pendraken Anticipation Day" - the day I get the mystic message telling me that the Dark Lord had turned his face to me, and whipped his casting-dwarves until the their backs were raw, and they offered unto him the items I had ordered. (In this case British artillery, 1944 of various hues.)

This morning was "Pendraken Deliverance Day" when my postman brought, with appropriate reverence, the package of Pendraken goodliness, and laid it perhaps over-enthusiastically through my door.

The evening is "Pendraken Ordering Day". Since ( and I have said this before) I cannot abide an empty "your Orders" section on the Pendraken site, I must always replace a received order with a new submission. The Dark Lord is capricious and fickle and without fresh and constant reminders (by way of submitted orders) his is like to forget about us (the crowd that effectively hides the Pendraken Wally).

The method of slavish obedience to the ways of the Lords of Somber Hues means that I can readily track the delivery time of my meager contributions to the engorged Pendraken coffers, and I have noticed that the delivery time has become noticeably shorter in the last few months from 18 days down to 10 or 13.

Why would this be?  :-\

Whatever, this platinum efficiency is affecting me in a number of ways. Firstly, my Shrine of Pendraken Purity, in which unadulterated fetishes are stored, and regularly revered, has become somewhat larger. This is not helped by giving quarters to my beloved daughter, and her not so beloved cat (who has the such a great range of noises that make me doubt the naturalness of the beast) who have disrupted my tranquility and my planned Pendraken-related activities. I have now forgone eating on Tuesdays as well so that I may continue my adoration of the Aphotic Lords. Thirdly, if I continue to purchase at this rate, then there is a danger that I will actually amass all the armies that I have planned for (v7.2.3) and then ... I will die.

Its "F"

I know this because the suplications of the rest of us have drowned out your puny vocal requests for Centurions.   :D :D

That and the fact that I threatrened Leon on  another thread that if we did not have you to take the mickey out of we would have to resort to the "Short Leon" jokes and comments.

Leon who is actually 5' 8" but a lot lot shorter than Dave is a little peeved by these jokes so I have no doubt that the delay will take place  ;D

Does anyone else get the impression fsn is losing it  in his old age?

Quotea) The Leon clones all have the gift of teleportation

Not that I know of...  :-\

Quoteb) I'm ordering bog standard stuff that's in stock

Nope, nothing's in stock, we cast everything to order.  The only things which go straight out would be decals / flags, etc.

Quotec) The rest of the Pendraken blood horde are on their holidays, so wielding bucket and spade rather than paint brushes.

Nope, all here.

Quoted) The Darker Lord has introduced an efficiency drive for the casting-dwarves. It's like an employee of the month, but in reverse. The poorest performing dwarf is stapled to the notice board. Not a picture, you understand ...

Stuart is back from his digging expedition in the Ukraine, so we're back to full power.

Quotee) I am favoured in the eyes of the Dark Lord

Yep, definitely!   :P

Quotef) I am being set up for a massive disappointment in October

Nope!   :o

Quoteg) I have qualified for a free trial of Pendraken Prime, and my orders are being dealt with extra speedily ... this month

Afraid not...  :(

I think we're just getting on top of the orders a little at the moment.  We had a quiet first half of August, so we were able to catch up a little.  The second half has been busier, but hopefully with Stuart back, we can stay on top of things now.  It's nice to see my orders pile looking decidedly smaller than it was a fortnight ago as well!

You forgot :

H) Leon is managing your orders so the next pendraken ordering day falls a few days short of october, so you will have to make the next order (and you HAVE to as you can't have 'my orders' empty) without the beloved centurion. Off course this order will then take more than a month to cast up and 3 weeks to get lost in the mail, only postponing your chance for the next 'pendraken ordering day', while you look at all the freshly painted pictures on the forum of the new-shiny-still-warm-from-the-mould centurions that everyone is having.

:D :D :D :P :P :P :d :d :d

Ok. If I promise to start banging on about Byzantines once the Centurion is out, can I just have the Centurion?

I'd back you on the byzantines, just got some anglo saxons painted up that would rather be massacred as Varangian guard

How can the Plumb Lord not accept the reality of his clones.
They are real !
I know i have seen one...... ;)
Fsn do you use your real name to order? because it may be those fearful letters F. S. N. that strike fear deep into the Plumb Lords dwarven minions, thus producing the rapid dispatch of your order.
After all your fantastic pleading and wonderful prose about Centurions, they must fear the bile and hateful jibes that could be unleashed if they at any time failed to keep this particular customer satisfied.
Roll on October and.....

UNLEASH THE CENTURIONS !
:)
