Does not take agenius thats why they use such terms.
Basically it means uniting CSR and business strife for money into one thing.
Well done Roland and fingers crossed.
Good luck!!
Nicely done, Roland - a huge sense of achievement to have a dissertation completed 8)

In layman's terms it is being socially responsible and making money.
Good luck.
Many years ago my final year dissertation was "A statistically based set of rules for wargaming the Napoleonic Wars." Poor typist (it was that long ago) had to cope with statistical formulae and military terminology.
Happy days.

All you had to do was write Pendraken on one page and you would have passed...and your name of course

Did you use Pendraken as a golden example? :D

Would that not have been too obvious? :P
Well done SBB.
What was your conclusion? Can social responsibility and profit coexist?
My undergrad. was, 'Discerning ethnic and cultural identity in 5th to 7th century Anglo-Saxon burials in southern England'.
A couple of post-grad theses;
'Are palaeopathological assessments reliable indicators of lifestyle activity?'
'Do complex business classification schemes add value to corporate memory?' (leap to a new career with this one)
@-)
'Now just pieces of paper...'
I think I'll do another dissertation: Big jugs; the exaggerative effects of copious amounts of lager on the male perception of female anatomical proportions in bier kellers.
How about "The Outsider: How expressing an out of the ordinary desire can lead to humiliation from the peer group."?

Centurions: the subjective perception of Roman armour transmogrified to C20th British armour.

I concluded they can (agreeing with Porter) but to impact on a global scale (as I deem necessary) some difficulties need to be overcome.
- Definitions (What is socially responsible?)
- Structures (Communication from and to SMEs)
Most interesting US consumers accept this notion more readily than European ones. Maybe the ethical and philosophical heritage creates the difference.
I admit three months is nowhere near enough time to investigate deep enough so I would like to continue my studies.

Can you get a grant?...You buy nothing but 10mm Pendraken figures for 10 years and see if it makes a difference to your well being and if it makes you nicer to people, with an extra 6 months in the South Pacific to run a wargaming show on the Cook Islands to see if the effect is global

Now if education had been that interesting when I was in the system it might have been worth putting in some effort ;)

But when you were that age it did not matter. And nowadays even if you put in effort it does not matter unless you know someone or are born snobbish rich anyways. >:(
Congratulations, its a great feeling handing in at last! :D

Since I already moved from my homecountry (Germany) to the world centre of tasteful wargaming (UK) and sistanced myself from less socially responsible options (GW), moreover after I embraced the approach another company (their respective "bosses being calles Leon and Dave - just coincidential I assure you) I would argue the wellbeing of myself has already reached a level I am comfortable with.
However for sustained happyness also for my surrounding the approach of increased exposure is certainly worth a try. I would leave the comfort of the Pendraken/Minibits goodness for the Cook Islands only if said companies would be having stand there.
I'm a bit rusty like, but bist du deutscher? Welchen teil Deutschlands kommst du?
Good enough for most Germans, witht he exception of bavarians I guess...
Southwest just across french border near a town named after a female dog ;) About 90min on the motorway to Frankfurt Main.
My wife lived in Celle (near Hannover) for a while.

I am not sure that "responsible" is a suitable word for use in, or about this forum or its users. :)
