Title: One sided Hail Caesar Game
Post by: Nosher on 17 August 2013, 02:59:04 PM
Just played out the most bizarre one-sided games of Hail Caesar, so much so that it was pretty dull to play.

600+ points of Crusaders v 700+ of Ayuubid's. Wide open battlefield with a few copses and rough sand patches - ideal for skirmishing bow armed cavalry... or you would have thought so.

The Crusaders steamrollered the Ayuubid's losing only a single skirmishhing cavalry unit in the process. The whole game including set up too about an hour and a half.

In fairness, my dicerolling for the Crusaders was phenomenal whereas every time I rolled for the Arabs it was exactly the opposite.

Not knocking the rules as I generally like them, but anyone else experienced this or was my dice rolling just flukey?

Had Cossacks beat up French Dragoons, an d a French infantry column successfully charge Russian dragoons in Black Powder.
