An AAR report of a great game I had with Craig today using his recently released Star&Garter rules. Will the good and righteous English prevail or will the perfifious French have the upper hand? Find out on my Blog:

Must get around to bunging some dice at this!
Nice reports gents!
Good report and pics.
I read through Star & Garter the other day and there are some interesting ideas.
Thanks Steve and Craig
I enjoyed that Steve. :)
Thanks for putting that up ! :-bd
Cheers - Phil
Glad you all enjoyed it as Craig has done a sterling job on this adaption of an excellent set of rules.
Thanks for the feedback on the rules. Theres still a few tweaks needed, and I am yet to finish the siege element of the rules and write half a dozen scenarios to suit.
After conversatiosn with SJ yesterday I will be adding a blunder table (I think Steve rolled at least or 3 blunders in yesterdays game). One idea Steve had was that if one of your mercenary units blundered when being commanded they mightl change sides (which would cause mayhem having your own lines turn on your men!). Similarly a blunder on a siege engine would see it breaking down, or in the case of a cannon potentially misfiring. Also a minor change to the scout rules will be made so that if you get them behind your enemies lines they start to effect the enemies ability to be commanded (ie the troops are worried about their lines of retreat being cut off, are beign harried by inefectual but none the less worryiing petty attacks by a handful of scouts etc)
I am thinking that if Nikfest is going to hapen this year I might run a participation game, with around 100-120 points of English assaulting the French held walls of my medieval town. That will give plenty of opportunity for playing with trebuchet, perrier, cannon and some dastardly spies atempting to sway the townsfolk into opening the city gates.
Cheers,
Craig

Only two blunders Craig and no double 1s. It seems our normal roles were reversed in this game :D ;).
TOP notch batrep, sir. I really enjoyed reading this one.

Would be good - we're still waiting on confirmation of re-opening date of the pub and whether mine-new-hosts are up for us gaming there...watch this space as we've maintained comms...
