Post by: TinyTerrain on 09 August 2013, 06:34:56 PM
Anyone read A Wargamers' Guide to the Crusades by Ian Heath?

Any good? Worth a tenner on Amazon?

Cheers

Useful, but not as much so as the Armies and Enemies volume by the same writer.

If you are looking to start doing stuff in the period and need a good introduction aimed at gamers it's worth the money IMHO.

Armies and Enemies is better on battles and costume though.

Always fancied running a 1st Crusade multiplayer campaign but the guys I play tabletop stuff with at the moment think that armour has to have tracks and a big 'king gun :)
