The uniform modelled on codes FRE8- FRE10. Can anyone clarify if it is the 1935 pattern vareuse tunic or the earlier capote, (French greatcoat with button back flaps) which was still common in 1939 ? Its hard to tell from the images.
If anyone has painted images it would be much appreciated. Thanks guys.
Hello James/Sunray
I don't have any painted images but they are wearing the capote rather than the short tunic. If you need a tunic wearing Adrian helmet type figure the WW1 Italians would be closest (this post http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,3442.0.html (http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,3442.0.html) shows them. As for the capote it's beyond my eyesight to see if they are the older double breasted or 1938 single breasted type :D :D. I happily mix the WW1 and WW2 types together, but then I'm easily pleased ;D ;D ;D.

It's the M35 uniform
( I'm not a good painter, but you may have an idea)

Thanks Vic and Ronan. That answers that question.
Ronan, enjoyed your eye candy - your are a neat painter.
My idea was an inter-war Latin American army (based on Peru) Skoda tanks and infantry in Adrian helmets. I might look at SCW internationals as some code do come in that helmet.
Thanks again
Ronan, I note that your well painted figures are based individually. Unusual for 10mm. What rules do you use?
Thank you !
We use Force on Force ( and sometimes I use Nuts! for my solo games)
Hello James/Sunray
If you're looking for troops in Adrian and tunic then I'd go for the WW1 Italian:-

I'm painting mine generically so they can be used as Chinese, Thai, South American, 1920s Europeans, etc
Cheers

Thanks Vic, again, very neatly painted!
Cool idea a Peruvian army. I have it planed as well as part of the fictional latin american project. Take a look at some of the adrian helmet troops in the Spanish Civil War range. I painted them like Thais for my latin american army. Also as noted the WWI Italians are a useful pack. I have some pictures on my blog and at some point will post the Thai inspired troops (basement is being worked on so hopefully when done next week). Please keep us updated on the Peruvians would love to see these.

If they're neatly painted they can't be mine ;D ;D, they're actually by CorvetteK225 from that forum post.
Found some info on the 1941 war with Ecuador:-

Another use for the Chinese gunboat?

Great images Vic. Blown away by the Airborne forces- and yes they did make a combat jump!
Have you any idea what jump helmet they wore?

Looks like a flying helmet style with goggles, maybe the WW1 despatch rider head could be used? Russian Paratroopers would be best but unfortunately not made by anyone. Maybe a request for Russian/generic paratroopers in flying helmets is in order?
