Title: Greetings from Turkey
Post by: anchorite on 13 July 2013, 08:22:42 PM
Greetings,

After years playing 28mm games, I feel like I found the most fun way of wargaming  :). I have been playing Flames of War for a year and felt like historical wargaming especially in grand scale is deeper and more fun then heroic scale sci-fi or fantasy. So, I am here. I will try painting some 10mm napoleonic and have a great feeling about it.

Hello.

10mm is the way to go. I've not been brave enough to try Napoleonics yet. I'm sticking to WWII for now.

You be careful what you say! It is written that the Great Dark One holds in his dirty, scarred paw the seed of all Centurions, and he gazes upon us and judges us all. Every day he looks upon the Forum that he created and he weighs up our words. Every day we do not please him, and he puts away the Centurion seed. One day though, we will show the Great Dark One that we are worthy of Centurions and he will smile the smile that no mortal dare look upon and he will finally, finally release the Centurion seed. Then. Brothers, there will be a day like no others and we will all be able to share in the bounty of the Centurion, each unto his own light, and the Great Dark One will nod his head sagely and rest, so that for a short time we will be free from his influences and be able to enjoy the brighter world that has Centurions in it!

Then, Brothers after all too short a time, the Great Dark One will tire of his inactivity and resume his judging, and he will hold in his hand the T35 seed and so it will go on until on the Final Day, the Great Old One releases a range of Aztecs, and that surely will be the end.

Welcome, yes we are a friendly bunch here. Even being a German I have yet to be beheaded.  :-\ Strangely I think I posted the first joke about Germans some years ago....

Anyways, 10mm is way to go. Pendraken has almost any kind of range you could possibly be looking for, For me it is Fantasy mostly.

Cheers

Welcome! It can get a bit strange at times, but it is all in good heart!  :P  I do not know a friendlier forum in our hobby, nor a better informed one. People on here know the answer to the obscurest questions, and are always willing to share.   Odd, isn't it?  :-\ :-\

Don't listen to him Anchorite. He says "orcs", but we all know it's really just hill goblins with delusions of grandeur.
