Very nicely done, Peter 8)
I think you'll need at least 3 times that many for the proper meatwall tactics of the Ruskis.
Ooorahh!! Za Stalina!
Thx
And no worries, more to come in the form of t34's , t34-85's and An IS and an SU76 :D
Great work so far!
Lovely!, looking forward to seeing the rest. =D>
Ry
Great work Peter,
kev
Very nice and they're infantry! i tend to paint the armour and am very lax about finishing the infantry off.
Is that a post card from Leon in the back ground? Already!
Like those a lot, Peter. I'm always with anyone who favours the Poor Bloody Infantry. However, you should know that "grassed up" means something entirely different over here. ;)
Really like the two tone base colours. Looks like green and a shade of grey? If I am right this means your figures will fit both rural and urban settings - which is always an issue as you want the figure base to blend with the playing surface be it grass or tarmac. Very clever.
I think russians had a tendency to be 'wodka'd up' instead of grassed up but i see what you mean ;D
That's actually a box of kleenex in the background, Leon has no time sending postcards, as he will be desperately seeking spaces with wifi to answer our post, while trying to make sure mrs. Leon doesn't notice :D
I like painting armour as much as the infantry, and just paint whatever i feel like doing most at the time. These were easy to paint as the detail was great so no problems there.
Bases are just vallejo dark earth stone texture, drybrushed with graveyard earth followed by a drybrush of kommando khaki. So three colours to help them blend in better with more styles of terrain.
And thanks for the kind words all ;)
