Title: Leon on holiday!
Post by: Leon on 26 June 2013, 08:11:16 PM
I'm going to be on holiday from Sat 29th through to Sat 6th, so apologies in advance if there's any delay replying to posts here, or emails through to Pendraken.  I'll try and check in when I can, but I won't have constant access to the interwebs in the hotel unfortunately.

If there's anything urgent, you can always contact me through the Minibits 'Contact Us' link, which sends an email I can access on my phone.

I'll be back online on Sunday 7th, so I'll start trawling through everything then!

And no barfights while I'm away, I've just tidied this place...  :P

OK Lads, I think he's gone!

We can all stay up late, and put our feet on the table, and say rude things about ladies. [Oh, we already do that.]

They do say that Monte Carlo is simply spiffing this time of year, as long as young Leon does not put all last years Pendraken profits on red all should be well.

Sounds like a great idea, still my response might have been different if I hadn't got the email saying my order had been shipped  ;D ;D

Cheers, careful of the sun now.

When can we officially "miss" Leon? And anybody like me interested in the video of Leon being slapped silly?

Have a good one :D

I'm still waiting for the team photo.

Do you think it's really a holiday? Maybe it's more of a prescribed retreat just to get away from us (the cassion to the Pendraken 12 pdr), cos we're driving him to distraction.  :d

Perhaps it's just a fortnight on the Pendraken yacht, cruising the Bahamas, checking up on all his off shore bank accounts, or maybe a trek to Ulan Bator where he will sleep in a yurt and drink formented yaks milk, so that he will be able to feel the essence of being a Mongol. Maybe M has recalled him for one last mission - again.

More likely he'll be slopping around in his pyjamas eating cornflakes and zombifying on daytime TV, or there's a problem with The Centurion and he has to spend two weeks remeasuring 12 surviving examples just to make sure everything is perfect. Maybe, the University of Florida think he's such fun that they're having another Spring Break just for him?

In the studio recording "it may only be 10mm, but look at it shine"? Hired by the Tories to put George Osborne right.  Hired by Labour to take George Osborne out. Sailing to Africa in a Viking longship he built in his back garden? Comforting Nigella? Being whisked away to negotiate with the Aliens who landed in Looe? The implants have come in? Making a replica crown after the break in a the tower? Ooh! I know. Leaon will be scouting the field of Waterloo to see what needs to be put right!

It's a beach isn't it?

Aw crap! He knows where I live.

Only just read about this and have to say i am OUTRAGED! HOLIDAY??? HOLLIDAAYYY? WHEN YOU HAVE FIGURES TO COMMISSION, DESIGN, CAST AND POST? ;)

Seriously though i hope you had a good holiday. I'm sure there was some figure modelling still going on by the modellers even when you were away

QuoteHired by the Tories to put George Osborne right.

Cant be - the tories don't notice anything wrong with him grinning broadly while shafting everyone.

QuoteHired by Labour to take George Osborne out.

I know the Labour leadership are not the greatest geniuses in history, but i'd guess they know that'd be like the allies assassinating Hitler - he's doing them too much good for them to want rid of him

Comforting Nigella?

Sounds more likely. My money's on that.

My Mum's birthday there could have gone better.  They went 1st week of June (3 weeks ago) and my Dad had a heart attack.  Spent 5 days in Swansea hospital (Had an air ambulance and everything)

He's ok (back to being a silly old fool, just a bit weaker at the moment), but had to leave the caravan there, until he's well enough to drive long distance.

If you're going Leon, you couldn't bring it back and drop it off in North Herts could you?  Use the normal method for dealing with orders- should be there by yesterday!

(Please- No US style sympathy posts!)

Title: Re: Leon on holiday!
Post by: fsn on 01 July 2013, 06:32:34 AM
... but surely that was a bluff! The roof of his car is casting metal. He will leave the country in a normal Rolls Royce, and return with a cabriolet with the boot stuffed with Pendraken Goodliness.  He got the idea from Goldfinger.

In fact (shhh!) he told me the whole week is just so he can get some time to make up a special batch of Centurions that will be just for me. He said that he was ging to a special magical place where the Focii of Casting will come into alignment at a certain time. He could not reveal the place nor time for fear of rousing the wrath of the dark Casting gods, who haunt the shadows and delight in the fire, but has promised that castings made at this place at this time would be triple blessed: They would be pure and unsullied by flash or blemish; they would take and hold paint and never chip and they would be forever lucky. He needed to have with him three totems for this great conjuration to be most powerful. Firstly, he would need One who has been untouched by the Dark ones, an innocent unaware of the mystic arts, whose hands had never been mottled in Citadel colours. Secondly, he would need a brew of raw power for libation. One that would make the head spin and the senses become disjointed and the memory untrustworthy (he was taking a bottle of cheap cider). Thirdly, he was taking the offering most beloved by the Dark ones, the mystical power that he called "AKon Efcheeps".

From this and by combining his own sweat he said he would produce something magical, an experience that would sere his soul and, he said would leave him drained.

I think we should all be greateful to Leon for indulging in these dark acts, and putting his health and his sanity at risk in this way.

The website says "Leon is away on holiday from Sat 29th June through to Sun 6th July" ... which is a little worrying since the next Sunday 6th July is in 2014. so either it's a typo or Leon is getting a really, really long holiday  :o

Oh thank goodness you're back, Sir! Luddite had to tell off some bad boys, and TheKatanaDan minor put some Top Totty photos in the Fantasy area and so there was smutty stuff going on about mermaids in the wrong place, and then there was mermaids on the Top Totty page and I made a comment on it on artistic lines and the other boys were a bit rude Sir, and no-one updated the home page with July releases and all the other boys have been teasing me because I was a Centurion please Sir  :D and FewOrcs Major put a rude joke on about Mermaids as well, Sir and NikHarwood and SeiBigBoss thought Chuck Norris is cool but we all know he's a tit Sir, and Last Hussar was going to drink your whisky 'cos he's a bit y'know and I said "Paaaaarty" as a joke Sir, but all the other boys wanted pizza Sir, and Ithoriel made me sad Sir, because he said that you wer egoing away for a whole year Sir, and I missed you so much that I cried a little bit, but didn't let the other boys see sir, because they would have been so mean to me, but I was really sad when you were away but a Centurion would make me happy again Sir.  8->

Surely, making us (the legionnaires in the Pendraken testudo) happy is just one long holiday?

You deserve your holidays. Get the Centurion on sale and you'll have so many people buying it, you'll be able to have another holiday!  :-h

Oh no, not the legionnaire solecism!    :o. Where is Fierce Kitty when you really, really NEED him?   We are English, not French (thinks hurriedly and possibly with a reddening face, you aren't "French" are you fsn???.  If so, I truly apologise, honest I do :) :D ;)) so we are "legionaries" not "legionnaires" of either foreign or any other variety.  Ceases posting to the distant strains of "Land of Hope and Glory" followed by a menacing section of the "Gladiator" theme.

You're obviously not aware of the French Foreign Legion's camel-hide hide that they successfully used to sneak up on Sheik Rokenrol and his armed brigands in 1893?

I do humbly apologise. I pride myself on the quality of my posts - i.e. they may be absolute rubbish, but they spelling is correct. I think that at my advanced age, my Either that or my mind was ... wandering ... as it .... does ... now and

My roots are to the North. I align with the Nordic, not the Gallic, but see myself as proudly British.
