Title: 105 mm RR
Post by: Sunray on 23 June 2013, 08:31:11 PM
For little bush wars of the late 20th century, the 105mmRR was the poor man's artillery.  From a gamer's point of view it is better value than an artillery gun, as it gets to play on the table.

A small item to craft, no big challange to Techno's ability, but would generate a lot of business. If moulded in two parts, the gun could be fitted to jeeps and Landrovers.

Any votes out there?

Used in the Korean War? Count me in. It'll go nicely with my Centurions.

I'd be interested, but it's actually the M40 106mm - the 105 was used in Korea but had problems, so reworked with new ammo. Calibre remained 105, but renamed 106 as ammo was not compatible. 2 part model would allow use as the Russian B-11 107mm as well.

Yes, Korea will be in my long-term plans too. Add my vote.

I'm having a crack at the M40 106mm as I saw this and thought it'd be good to have once I order some Falklands argies.

Bit stuck at the moment though, so haven't put in supports or bands around the tube/other details.
Should it always have a wheel at the front with two rear leg supports/ is the wheel taken off when it's jeep mounted?
