Title: Resin Scenery
Post by: Ithoriel on 05 June 2013, 01:47:54 PM
Just put together a small order for resin scenery .... it would have been a bigger order but most of what I was after is unavailable  :'(

Any idea when/ if they'll be available again?

"For goodness sake stop being impatient, we've been busy manning stands at shows! They'll be back in a few days" / "There's a hiccup with production, might take a while check when you see us at Claymore" / "Check the local sports shop. They'll be available when you see Satan buying ice skates"*

*Delete as applicable  :D

Cheers

Funny. I just bought LOADS of them and there was no problem.

Oh noes! You've cleared them out! :-)

The ruined buildings, bunkers and trenches seem to be unavailable so I bought a small hamlet's worth of Russian buildings but that was all.

They'll all be back soon hopefully, so not too long to wait.  We're actually outsourcing all of our resin production to someone else, for a few reasons.  Firstly, it's very time-consuming when you're busy casting metal to stop and go do a piece of resin.  As we were doing it to order, we also ended up with a lot of random pieces we'd made just to use up the spare resin mix, so there's loads of odds and ends sitting around the unit.  And finally, we've never had all the proper kit, like vacuum chambers and whatnot, to do it properly.

Once the new casters have got all the moulds organised, we'll start getting the first batches of stock in, and I'll update the website again.  The new castings will be a much better quality than previously as well, and we'll see about adding some nice little extra's, like MDF damaged floors for the ruined buildings, etc.

Not sure at the moment, the first batch of the new stock is in progress, and will be coming up to us in the next week or so to check over.

With my 60th coming up the week before Claymore, I'll keep my fingers crossed there are even more things to spend money on at the show :-)

If you can both let me know what you'd like, I'll see if we can get something sorted in time.

Yep, there shouldn't be any changes to the prices.

No news yet unfortunately, there's been some delays with the new casters, so I'm going to give them a ring tomorrow and see how they're getting on with it.

Hmm, didn't realise there were that many Russian village buildings available in the range. And they don't seem to be "not currently available" like all the others. Or are you toying with us again, Leon?  :-\

We've only sent the first 30 resin codes down to the new guys so far, so we've still got the Russian ones here for the time being.
