Commanded by Général de Lartigue, it consisted of 56th Line Regiment,3rd Zouave Regiment, lst Légère Battalion (Chasseurs a Pied), 87th Line Regiment (remained in Strasbourg) and 3rd Algerian Tirailleur Regiment plus artillery (which I haven't started yet). It fought at Worth and Sedan.
Basically, what French I had left in the jiffy bag before starting Bavarians! ;D

Ah, so you're just making up that list because you had some spares lying around, right?
8-}

Historical fluke, honest! O:-) :^o
Great stuff Lemmy! Wish i could turn out my French and Prussians at your speed. Guess I'm too period-greedy.
very nice. personnally I love corps-style basing of units [or how-ever they're called], where bases represent regiments/brigades. and these work really well. nice job, once again.
Currently trying out an FPW take on Square Bashing using 60x30mm base as a regiment on a 4'x3' table. Managed Froeschwiller in 2.5 hours. Although units were reduced etc. it still looked impressive in 10mm and the result was surprisingly realistic, i.e. the French won by 1 point but took heavy losses in defence. As the sun sank slowly in the west the Prussians took a now burning Froeschwiller town. The French player decided that he would not be there when the sun came up again.
That would be about right! Win the battle, leave the battlefield!
FINALLY: complete the artillery for this division! ;D

:-bd nicely done.
Very nice. Must get back to my boys once this SYW Prussian army is finished - about a month to six weeks I reckon.
Just put the artillery in the box with the rest of the division and spotted there's no labels on the rest of the bases.
Must get that done...
Any chance of a panoramic of the entire forces? I'd like to see them all in one go .. wide angle required.
Am planning one when I finish my Prussian VIII Corps.

Now you know why news photographers carry stepladders around with them. ;)
Step ladder! I'm going to have to borrow a surveillance drone! Either that or wait for the next Google Earth pass... ;D
Just declare a Jihad with your horde and the drones will circle around and do the job for you.
Careful what you say. I've just had an email from the FBI claiming I am under surveillance for funding terrorist activities (probably the Nigerian branch seeing as they are interested in my financial transactions). Obviously I marked it as spam.
:D ;D :D
Yeah like the FBI always politely inform people they have under surveillance.
"Psssst GCHQ here, carry on and just ignore us;-)"
