Title: Wall Question
Post by: Baconheimer on 20 May 2013, 02:26:18 PM
I am working on walls for ratmen, the walls are 50mm tall.  I am building platforms for the troops to stand on out of cofffee stirrers and skewers, but as I work on the gatehouse i wonder how should I build the actual gate?  Any suggestions?

Open or closed?

I would say thick card, scored with a pencil to represent grain,( handle end of coffee stirrers for hinges)... Grey paint. black wash.

Can you give us some pictures of what you've done so far, and a bit more detail please?

It might make offering advice easier.

;)

Sure, this is what they looked like a few days ago, the figures are about 20-25mm tall.

Hi Baconheimer

Use the coffee stirers lay as many vertically across your gap then glue 1 across horizontally near the top and 1 near the bottom as you do not want them to work trim them when the glue dries
Any problems e-mail me and I will send you pictures of gates I made I would post them but cant get photobucket to work since they changed all the settings

regards
Martin

I just glued some stirrers to the front of the wall, it worked.
