Hi,

2 x Mounted Nobles
4 x Standard Riders
Javelins Tactics for all. LP: 6
Romano Brits
1 x Foot Companions
2 x Nobles Shieldwall
2 x Shieldwall
2 x Bow
1 x Foot Skirmisher with Bow

Scenario: 12 turns, mounted Welsh attack on the village. Welsh had to occupy the village in turn 12 to win.

The scenery and troops deplyed saw the Welsh split into 3 distinct groups, 1 strong central group , with weaker flanking forces (left flank just out of shot beyond the hill).

The British monks move up the hill to support the bow and skirmishers trying to deny the right flank to the Welsh Raiders. They slow the advace inflicting hits on both nobles and standard riders alike.

The Welsh begin to push the centre to try and draw troops away from the flanks, but to no avail.

The British shieldwall hold firm in the middle (in part due to poor Welsh dice rolls) whilst the flanks are quikcly dealt with and the Welsh attack begins to fizzles out as they loose too many troops.

and the bows finally kill the last of the Welsh Nobles, casuing a morale test and the rout of the rest of the raiding force

So thats it, a very short AAR this time which reads like the Welsh made little impact. The reality is that the Welsh killed 3 Brits and the Brits killed 4 Welsh, before they crumbled in turn 9 due to crp morale rolls. I wasnt intending to write anything up and therefore took no notes, but hopefully you get the jist of the game from the pics.
Cheers,

Nice one :-bd I do like those hills, scratchbuilds?
Yep, I made one or more of these to order for Craig. I keep meaning to do a few more for myself, but something always distracts me... :D.
Very nice Craig - very nice 8)
Lovely set up :)
What material is the mat?
Thanks everyone
The mat is a 6x4 fleece throw from Asda.....£6!
As Steve said the hills were built by him (very nice job) and I just added a few trees that I picked up at a tabletop sale for £2 for a dozen.
The buildings are scratched from loo roll, anaglypta, cardboard and a cut up flannel soaked in pva for the roofs :-)
Cheers,
Craig
