We had a load of stationary delivered last week in some rather large boxes. So me and Dave got a bit 'Blue Peter', and with a Stanley knife and some cable ties, we have now created our new staff recreation centre...

And it was promptly given a thorough checking over by our H&S team:

:D
Excellent ! :-bd
I think you should cast this up straight away... Along with 10mm versions of the Dwarf warrior and javelinman manning the fortifications.
;) :D
Brilliant
Excellent! I remember our kids having more fun with plain cardboard boxes than with some of the fancy playhouses that they had. A child's imagination is a wonderful thing.
So true Steve !! :)
Cheers - Phil
you do realise that IanRS will want to know why you didn't make a tank out of the boxes ?
A real 1/1 scale model... in scratch!!
;) :)

Are these the new MDF buildings prototypes?

Brilliant, but shouln't those children be casting molten lead, cleaning under the smelting pot or something similar :)
Better keep this low key,but with all those extra rooms in your house the council could slap a bedroom tax on you.

I've tried to be honest, but the eldest is far too lazy to have a sweep round the unit for cash. ???
Too much food and to little beatings tend to leave them that way... :o :d
Splendid fort BTW... :D
Excellent castle, and modular too :-bd
Cheers,
Kev
Superb :D
Now, the question is, can you reproduce that in 10mm? :-\ :-\
Mollinary
hehe I love it
We made them cardboard swords and shields as well, but I forgot to take a pic of them using them. They didn't last long to be fair, the youngest broke his on the eldests head...
I am surprised that someone like McDonalds haven't thought of this for their burger places..It would be a great selling point
Are you going to be bringing it to shows...You could be pioneers in the wargaming world and set up a Creche so people could look round the stalls in peace
We already have a creche - it's called "a fantasy participation game". :D

Ouchie!

Actually, that wasn't intended to be as snide as it sounded. I've heard several people who have run participation games at conventions grumbling that people dump their offspring on such games so that they, the parents, can wander off and do their own thing. And fantasy seems to be the genre that holds the kids' attention the longest.
Hi Leon
1 flaw in your castle it is very vunerable to water!!!!!!!!! : ) ;D ;D
I only know this because the English tried carboard castles in Wales in the 11th Century but switched to stone very quickly after 10 minutes in Wales

I must admit to doing something similar on the occasions the eldest has come to the shows with us. :-[

It's also vulnerable to overactive kids who try and run through the walls... :D
Hi Leon
No as bad as my lot when they where young the 2 oldest they would put the second youngest in a dust bin put the lid on and roll him down the back lane?

Just how much stationery are you having delivered?

It was Jiffy bags, so they come in massive boxes, each containing 2 or 3 smaller boxes of Jiffy's.
How do you get rid of Jiffies? I've got a whole stack sitting around that I've had from various companies. You can't shred 'em, they'd clog the machine. You can't just throw 'em in the bin - they've got my name and address on them. And I have no way of re-using them. So if anyone wants a batch of pre-owned Jiffies, or has a sound idea for disposing of them - now's your chance.
Applique Armor for combat vehicles. Considering the defense budget maybe the only think they are willing to spend on "our" boys.
The use of a black marker or ripping off the part with your address might solve your problem more quickly though.
Most of the addresses are written directly on the envelope - and I don't trust black marker; there are ways of recovering text from obliteration in that manner.

He sends them to you, obviously.

I suggest making that part of the paper a firestarter for BBQs if marker + cutting is not safe enough for you.
If that still does not suit your needs the only thing I can suggest is a Plasma Arc Waste Disposal System. The USN just installed one for 34 Mills on their latest aircraft carrier. Not sure if this particular one complies with DoD5220.22-M but I believe it is as close as one can get.
