Just watched the 1936 "Charge of the Light Brigade" with Errol Flynn.
Complete hokum, but that final charge (I won't spoil the ending for those that haven't seen it, but it doesn't go well) brought a lump to my throat.
Get the same thing watching other classics like "The Dambusters", "Battle of Britain", "Waterloo" and the original "All Quiet on the Western Front".
The original "All Quiet on the Western Front" is superb.
Don't forget the original "Dawn Patrol", "Battle of the River Plate", "A Hill in Korea" (with a baby faced Michael Caine) and "The Way Ahead".
I feel tomorrow may be lost in a b&w film-fest.
