10mm.  Wanted to see how they paint up as I might replace my 15mm collection.

These are a mix of Pendraken pike codes, to represent Warmaster Dogs of war, rather than an historical unit, but it does include the Landschekt pikes (along with medieval and Elizabethan ones)

There are two poses in the Landschekt pack, one in chain mail and a sort of fez style hat, the other in slashed clothing with feathers in his hat.

[edit] the LS are mainly in the second row of the blue and red unit, the chain and fez pose also has a large moustache [/edit]

The left two guns are from the LS range, and most of the crew are

I also have some of two hand swordsmen - but not painted. The range has nice figures, but unfortunately not too many poses.

I use mine alongside my GW Warmaster Empire troops, who fit this period.

If you are looking to do the Italian Wars, as opposed to just Landsknechts, in 10mm I would suggest that the best gendarmes figures are to be found in the Late Medieval range, i.e. the UNbarded knights. The armour and plumes are right and some greenstuff could easily add skirted tunics. There are 3 variants and the figure in sallet would make a very good Spanish knight. In the Renaissance Anglo-Scottish range there is an excellent pack of European pikemen which are suitable for French, Italians, Spanish pre-1520 etc. The Stradiots in the Elizabethan range are also perfectly useable for the Italian Wars. Again the Late Medieval range provides crossbows, alternative generic pike, artillery, command groups and so on. I have found some of the WM figures to be closer to 12mm and although there are some beautifully sculpted gendarmes in the Empire range they have unfortunately been sculpted with shields which are very, very time consuming to remove.
