Once again, great figures Techno! :-bd
LOVELY work 'H' ! :-bd =D>
What you've done on the shields looks particularly effective....I'm sure that did cause you some 'head scratching'.....Well worth the effort !!
Cheers - Phil (Thanks for the compliment. :-[)

I'm afraid my english is not good enough... :(
But I´m glad you like the romans! :D
Sorry H.
I keep forgetting that we have a lot of friends on the Forum who don't use English as their first language.
By 'head scratching'..... I mean it must have taken a lot of thought and effort until you got the required effect. :)
Cheers - Phil.
My fault... As I mentioned on the blog that it was really a "headache" painting the shields, I just thought you were making a language correction... ;D
Very nicely done, H. The shields have turned out very well. :-bd
Those are LOVELY! 8)
Very nice work
Thanks! :D
Very nice H. I really like the effect.
If I can ask, will you point me towards the "Lendon or Quesada theories" you mention.
I am interested because of debates I have seen in the past of the difference between regular and irregular ancient warriors. In a nut shell these debates revolve around what regular means. Greeks marched in files but not in step which seems to be the rule right through until the 1730's when the Prussians started to use a cadenced step and a uniform manual of arms. It has been argued though the small roman maniples must have marched in step but the diagrams inset on your blog are showing irregular like blobs, which is very intriguing.
Cheers, Rob :)
I can send you some pdf (by Quesada) but I´m affraid they are in spanish...
Very nice!!

Could I ask moderators to exclude this kind of thing?
These people with their brush skills and their patience and their bare-naked talent, yes TALENT, make some of us, OK me, feel like I'm not fit to paint an outhouse brown.
This kind of exhibitionism just makes me downright jealous.
Bloody good work.
Even if I could paint that well, I'd still never throw a six. Muses: Maybe I should stop using those streamlined 4 sided dice?
Yes Bob, that´s it! :)
