Title: Looking for junk - Pyro, Aurora, Lindberg, Revell,.....
Post by: GrumpyOldMan on 17 April 2013, 12:11:14 AM
Hi

I'm looking for this kit and I was wondering if anybody knew where was the current location of the mould. I've emailed Revell but no reply as yet.

As you can see from the title the shop has moved from manufacturer to manufacturer.

Cheers

Next time I go into Cardigan, I'll have a look in one of the local 'Pound shops' (Which is anything BUT a Pound shop).....I've go a sneaky feeling I might have seen that there in their model kits section. :-\ :-\
Cheers - Phil.

One available here

http://www.radekshipmodels.cz/cz/seznam-modelu-plachetnic/modely-v-meritku-nad-1_100/chinese-junk---imai

Quoted as 1:135 scale though and in the ERTL box.
there's a translation option on the page which you'll likely need as I couldn't identify the price.

If I find anymore, I'll post them up here.

Good luck with the hunt.

Ry

Now I'll just have to work out how to get it from Cardigan to me here in Australia  :(.

The Imai is a smaller scale ship and if I remember it was about 1/350. The Imai were great ships I've still got some Roman ships left from when I was into Ancient gaming and I think I've still got some unmade, Greek warship and Santa Maria from memory. I always used to keep an eye out for Imai and Smer. Yes just looked up an Imai list and the Junk is 1/350. I may have to go for a card model. Will have a look around and let people know if I find a good one for gaming.

Cheers and thanks again.

There are many wooden models on ebay though, you know, the matchctick models. Finding the right scale will be a pain though.
