Title: MG34 on tripod ? and light French 1940 mortars
Post by: ronan on 10 April 2013, 06:27:37 PM
Hello
I'd like some MG34 on tripod ( for 1940 german MMG). I didn't find any one..
What should I use ?

any idea for French light mortars ? ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brandt_Mle_1935 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brandt_Mle_1935) )  May be an US 60mm mortar with a french crew ?

thank you !

I think Leon supplied Mark Bevis (Sultanbev) with a mortar for his French force. Leon, what did you use?

As the US mortars are the same as the French ones - yes a US one  - or Italian 81, or Japanese, and a couple of other 81's as well - with FRench crews would be fine.

Can you not use http://www.pendraken.co.uk/GR21-p4296/ (http://www.pendraken.co.uk/GR21-p4296/) for the MG34?

The US Brandt mortars were copies of French designs so the US 60 is fine.

Cheers, Rob  :)

We can do the US mortar with French crews, no bother there.
