Title: ECW dragoon horse holders 7 standing horses (without riders)
Post by: whiteoak on 07 April 2013, 08:14:42 AM
Any suggestions as to which Pendraken figure is suitable for a ECW dragoon horse holder and for standing horses  (without riders)

Thanks

Kelvin

Hi Kelvin,

Not sure if these are what you need but the ACW new range has standing horses - a bit of filing on the blanket roll and a little green stuff for the extra bridle strap should suffice.

As for your other post on ECW pikes, I've found pendraken figures do 'give' a bit without breaking, so a dremel or similar 0.5mm drillbit should do the trick, the hardest part is probably finding a pike to match the drillbit circumfrence.

Yep, the standing horses with a bit of work would be fine.  For the horse holder, there's no specific figure, but you could either convert one of the ACW chaps, or alternatively, the 'lighting the fuse' guy from the ECW artillery crew might work as a bit of a conversion?

Cheers,

Leon

OK, I've got my tin hat on - so here goes!   I am assuming you do not want many of these for your army, so maybe it is permissible to go off piste for this  requirement?   Minifigs now do the old AIM range of figures, very compatible with Pendraken, particularly the new ones. They have a code of a dragoon horse holder and dismounted horses.  I think the entry on the site is not accurate, and I fear they may have one horse holder per horse, but you might want to drop them a line for what it contains and see if it might suit.  I have some, as Pendraken don't do them, and they are pretty good.   Now, of course, they could be on the new release list? :D ;) ;)
