Title: Zulu battledress
Post by: ryman1 on 26 March 2013, 08:29:44 PM
Just mocked up this little guide which shows common battledress during the zulu wars.
It illustrates how a regiment would have looked as it closed with Tommy Atkins.
The recent 28mm releases of certain zulu war sets/figures show full regalia (which was never worn into battle), that's right - HERE BE DA TROOF!

Feel free to print and share if you find it useful.

You know we'll want to see these painted up on the figures now Ry.
Great research again. :-bd

Excellent again!  I'm hoping to paint up some Zulu's soon, so this and the shield designs will be very handy!

Don't forget a few in captured scarlet jackets. Always looks good.

Another batch of knowledge that keeps prodding me to make use of it.  :)
