Im thinking of starting a VBCW force and I want it based on stuff local to where I live, and what better idea in that case to have a cavalry unit or two madeup of foxhunters (probably carrying swords or lances).
I want this look

Anyone ideas. Quite happy to do a head swap or something. My first thought was Napoleonic for the bodies, but any better ideas?
First thoughts are possibly cavalry from the Boer War range, WWI Middle East or East Africa range. Pith helmets with a bit of trimming might fit the bill. Without actual pics of the ranges a bit hard to say if any would be useful.
That's a tricky one. I'll have a chat with Dave and see what we can suggest for those. It's going to involve some converting though either way!
:D

I did think that after considering Napoleonics.
Hi
If you're looking for carbine armed cavalry you could use the WW1 American cavalry with a paint job, if however you're looking for more traditional types you could use the new ACW Union cavalry with just a blob of putty on the kepi to give a round cap. I f you were keen on lancers it might be a case of asking Leon for large amounts of the standard bearer :D.

If you're still keen to do head swaps the officer in the Boer infantry has a bowler

and there is a toppish hat in the ACW dismounted raiders
