Title: ACW Skirmish
Post by: bibertybob on 17 March 2013, 09:53:56 PM
Hi all, just thought I would post this solo ACW game using computer moderated rules, you will have to excuse the odd 19thC general and limber just using them till I get more stuff painted.(http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q698/robertybob7/acwbattle001_zps81d44628.jpg)(http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q698/robertybob7/acwbattle002_zpsb954f56c.jpg)(http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q698/robertybob7/acwbattle003_zpsdc08a895.jpg)(http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q698/robertybob7/acwbattle004_zpsd5cd8cd4.jpg)(http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q698/robertybob7/acwbattle005_zpse09126a2.jpg)(http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q698/robertybob7/acwbattle006_zpsad8db0ac.jpg)(http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q698/robertybob7/bound8001_zps2798273e.jpg)(http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q698/robertybob7/bound8002_zpseb6f9f2b.jpg)(http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q698/robertybob7/bound8003_zpsc1dff784.jpg)(http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q698/robertybob7/bound8004_zps87f7ca56.jpg)(http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q698/robertybob7/078c9d98-fb2e-404b-92a6-aac2023a778b_zps49dfebf6.jpg)

Looks like the story to each photo has not come out but the game is not finished yet.  :o

By the way Pete from Total Battle Miniatures says there is a new 10mm range of buildings coming soon called Black Powder Europe.
Thanks Bob

That's his bed spread. He's playing on his own freaking bed, which I think is brilliant! Great pics, too.  :D 8)

Excellent! I just looked again at the photo's and noticed the headboard in pic. 5. I know D. Featherstone had a chapter in one of his books about playing wargames in bed but Bob has taken this to a completely new level. Or is it another way to get around the new benefit tax/cut by declaring your bedroom is now a wargame room? ;D

Well, he did mention the late 19th century figures in his intro. I was impressed by the covered bridge.  8)

Absolutely, I have no problems with that - I think it looks a great set up.

The grass fields is the throw Nik Harwood suggested from Amazon, the rules for this game are from computer stratagies called Rally once More.

Hi Aart, I had to think of a way I could use the spare bedroom for wargaming so made a frame to go on the bed and the table is made from the plastic sheets you have on conservatory roof in sections so I can take it down Quick, good job we have another spare room for Grandkids.

Great stuff bibertybob - really decent looking scrap, with some seriously intensive fighting for both bridges; nicely done  8)

Glad you like the throw too...I think they're great  :)

Hi Bob

Thanks for the information about the rules. I must have missed the article on the throw but it does look good. I'll have a look at both.

Cheers
