Title: Hello there!
Post by: badstar on 08 March 2013, 11:53:58 PM
Hello all,

Finally getting around to my first post after a few months of lurking about, so, hello there!

'Hope to get into the swing of things on the Forum soon and get yakkety with anyone interested in 10mm (shouldn't be difficult), mostly in the areas of Dark Age-thru-Renaissance and Fantasy/Sci-Fi, but ACW and other genres spark my interest on occasion.

I also like women, potatoes, double espressoes, blathering (get on with it!) and Monty Python. I'm a keen sculptor, by the way. Anyway, enough for now (yes, quite enough), so, cheerio!

Regards, Rob (aka TheCount @TMP)

Hi Rob, welcome to the Forum!

Have you got any pics of your sculpting?

Sculptors with an interest in pike-and-shot are personae maximae gratae. Someone's got to make those dam' Aztecs!

Hello again, it's 3.30am and I'm still going on! What's that they say about caffeine? Nonsense, I say.

Thank for the replies all, good to see everyone here has a welcoming nature.

Leon, alas photography is not a strong point for me as yet, do need to work on that, but this may help in the meantime: http://theminiaturespage.com/boards/msg.mv?id=263661

I hope that's not messing with any forum protocols. Apologies if so. I shall make amends by carrying on with sculpting in 10mm, which I've been doing for a fair few months. Much prefer it to 6mm, I have to say! DarkAge/Medieval civilians, some Southrons and some Dungeon Adventurers on the go currently. More caffeine nurse!

Sorry FierceKitty, I haven't tried any Aztecs (yet)!

Cheers for now, sleep well.

Don't worry, that's the closest thing to a positive answer to his request(s) that he has had so far!

And yes, some civilians and adventurers would be nice too.

Welcome Rob...What is your favourite variety of Potato?

Hello!

Fave potato? Ah well, when times are hard, the "Waitrose Essential" is a winner but I'll take a "King Edward"  when I can get it. Though it's all in the mashing really.

Very true Rob.Hate mash when is all creamy ,I prefer a bit of body and dare I say a few lumps in it ( and yes I am talking about mashed potatos). I am surprised Leon doesnt ask these sort of  in depth questions in 'The Line of Fire' section instead of all that wargaming nonsense

Fenton, you mean there's stuff about wargaming here too?!! Cool!

Kev, hello! I haven't dabbled in 6 for (what seems) a long while, totally gripped by the lure of the 10. Or the odd 11. But yes, we must get some pics out and about.

Cheers chaps!
