I'm not that fussed about Napoleon myself but this is going to be a big deal:

Kubrick spent years researching this project and it was his great unmade opus. Spielberg is a good pair of hands for it to fall into. I reckon it will be the definitive screen version of the Emperor. I am sure its years off yet, but I am genuinely excited by this news!
Could be superb :)
But I cant help wondering if Spielberg will keep to well established 'history' :-\
He'll set it during WWII, and the Americans will win the Battle of Waterloo.
And his version of Kubrick's cinematic style will resemble KFC taking over the Ritz.
like barry lyndon but with old boney ;D
Danny Devito as Napoleon
Sly Stallone as the whole of the Old Guard
Sacha Baron Cohen as Murat
Mel Gibson as Ney
Arnie Scwarzenegger as Blucher
Frankie Boyle as Wellington
and Keira Knightly as Josephine (to keep the Nikster happy) ;)
In all seriousness....who do you think will play Napoleon?
I suppose due to stature, Tom Cruise ;D
Seriousley though...?
Dunno, the guy who played mini-me in the austin powers series :P

=O
Vinny Jones perhaps? ;D
Although he'd be too old for the role, I think John Malkovich would have been an ideal candidate... he plays those 'on the edge' quite well.

Yep - that works for me. But you'd never find me cast as Napoleon in that case...simply can't imagine a world where I would tell la Knightly "not tonight" ;) :D
Didn't he suffer from a bladder infection? That might have slowed him down a bit. #-o
