Title: jdeleonardis' AWI
Post by: jdeleonardis on 28 February 2013, 01:43:46 PM
It seems to be the trend to start an AWI thread with all AWI work in one place!  I was about to start a new topic with the latest unit I finished, but since Ill be doing some more AWI, I figured I should follow the trend!

This is the latest I have done - 3rd Continental Dragoons (one base I have entered in the yearly comp.)  Im having such a hard time photographing these little guys!

Lovely work. I REALLY like the George Washington diorama with the conversions.

Is the Washington figure available for sale? Cant see it in the catalogue.

I've pulled up a chair, got a nice single malt to hand. So this story of the plinth?  :-\

It was a special release sculpted by clib for the pendraken twentieth celebration last year, as a very limited edition in a goody bag.

But eventually popular demand necessitated a full release for him! :-)

The full thread where he was previewed is here: http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,5364.0.html (http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,5364.0.html)  There's a painting guide for him as well on page 3 of that thread.

Grrrrr I totally missed that!!!!!!

But while we are here, what is the strap that sits just in front of the rider, draped over the horse's back?  From Andy's guide, is that a 'girth strap'?  I have one of THOSE, but its for something else entirely  :d
