:o Is that one days' work! WOW! 8)
About 3 hours ......i am not the fastest painter
Looks great!!
Very nicely done 8)
Fantastic! 3 hours?! :o
Thanks to all, are 3 hours a short time for only 4 figures !? I was thinking i am a slow painter.
Beautifully done Andreas, especially the faces 8).
Beautiful work! The vibrancy of the colours, the subtlety of the shading are just outstanding. Nice basing too =D>
Excellent painting as always :-bd
lovely
I average about an hour a figure also.
Matt
Lovely work Andreas. Can you explain to me how you realize your bases? I notice that you do not use static grass.

Beautifully done, Andreas. Is that rear-rank man wearing a turban?
Those are terrific, well done there Sir :)
That's a wig !!
Great work Andreas,
kev
Well strictly speaking its likely to be just his hair as common soldiers wore their natural hair tied up. It would often be powdered which would give it an appearance similar to a wig, however since these guys are in campaign dress you could paint them in natural hair colours if you wish, since hair powdering was probably on of the first things to lapse on campaign.
Or that guy could just be prematurely grey...
Thanks Thanks Thanks for all comments ! :)
@BH: i use this http://www.fredericus-rex.de/Green-Line-scenery/Tufts-of-grass/Tufts-of-grass-short-Green-line.html for basing and some other tuft from army painters.....thats all
To hair.......I have not really thought about it. So thanks to clibinarium for information, i will correct it. :)
New personal record 1hour and 54 minutes for 4 Figures ;)

I am really impressed by the quality of the painting and the speed of the realization.
Very good job Andreas.

Little information for AWI interested people like me.
I had found this http://www.reeseartofwars.com/ and i bougth Uniforms of the American Revolution, 1775-1783 Volume 1, American and British Forces for only 30 Dollers !
120 Plates !!! Its so helpfull for painting AWI .
I think its a must have .

I really love this picture. It is so unlike, the stereotype of the advantages of small scale figures, which is the mass look. This is a small scale diorama, with individuality in each of the four figures on the base. The full unit will look fabulous. This is raising 10mm painting to a new level.
Bravo!!!!
Molinary
BLIMEY those are good! 8)
Didn't want to comment on any painting while the competition was on, in case they ended up in it. These are beautiful.
Simply gorgeous work 8).
I love these pics ! Wonderful work !

to read this from a AWI master painter is cool 8)
Your AWI Figures in painting competition are great !
I would like to see more , maybe in a kev1964 awi thread here in forum ;)
Cheers for that Andreas, i normally paint 6mm but have really enjoyed doing these and intend to do more so will add units on here as i go. Also your 6mm stuff is amazing, i have just had to re do a lot of broken bayonets on some baccus french so can imagine how long it took you to do yours, excellent job though so worth the effort.

I'm totally with Clibby on this !
And it's been
damn hard not to praise things as they've been posted recently !
There's a surfeit of superlatives waiting to be plonked down at the moment. ;)
Cheers - Phil.

Ditto... :)

Absolutely stunning work. :-bd =D> =D>
Cheers - Phil.
I can understand you ;)

"Lovely work Andreas. This is outstanding painting. Far better than my attempts. If you carry on like this you will get on Trev Crook's list of talented painters.
This is not a good thing as he threatens to break you fingers for being a smartarse..."
so i paint always protected !

this is my painting life...... always in fear ! ;)
My painting just looks as if I was wearing armoured gauntlets at the time! :'(
Some awesome painting here
If you should ever happen to visit Munich..me and a friend of mine also have Pendraken AWI armies with the same basing..should be an ideal match :-\
Salzburg--Münchn wär jetz keine Weltreise ! :)
Nach welche Regeln spielts ihr ?
The sad thing is is that Andreas's 6mm figures look like there 10mm as well due to the superb painting of them

Dad I doch a moana ;)
Wir spielen Maurice, Black Powder und irgendwann bestimmt auch mal British Grenadier, aber das erfordert wohl einiges an Einarbeitungszeit.

Ja?
I should really learn another language... :( I did French and German at school, and wasn't too bad at the written side of it. Speaking it was a whole different ballgame though! Hats off to all the multilingual members!
8)
That's a quite natural thing though..I've also forgotten almost all of my French..use it or lose it :'(
Nevertheless, if anyone wants to refresh their knowledge or get started with a whole new language, I can only recommend this little programme here:
http://ankisrs.net/
If you sign up at their homepage you can also download ready-made decks of flash-cards (spares you the typing work)..helped me a lot with Polish.
