Title: Crimean War Recap
Post by: sebastosfig on 28 January 2013, 10:35:03 AM
Hi everyone.
I'm tempted to paint Crimean war armies to play some fictional scenarios for club night, using Black Powder (not beer and breztels, but Beer and curry).
For money reasons, I'll go with 10 mm ;)

So to sum up, taking Russian and British Crimean range is ok. But where to find Britsh rifles?
As for the Turks, in which range should I look for troops?
And, if I'm not mistaken, only a few French regiments wore the shako during the campaign, the rest looking more or less like 1870 guys, especially in 10mm. Am I right?

Cheers

Seb

For the French, yes.

I believe the French line wore iron-grey greatcoats at this period and the Guards had blue trousers and not red.

For Turks, use the Russo-Turkish range.

Thanks a lot. But what about the British rifles? :-\
