So what has everyone got planned for this weekend ?
I picked up three 10mm Pendraken armies of eBay during the week just gone, a British, German and Russian so I intend making a start on rebasing the German infantry.
Take care
Andy
Planning on watching the snow get washed away.....Huzzah !! :-bd
Cheers - Phil.
Getting some pics done for the website hopefully, plus we've got a new computer coming for the office, so going to get that hooked up on Sunday.
8)
Finish some 15mm buildings and then sort out some of my painting comp figures, base them and prime them... Hopefully! :-\
May get going on writing myself a set of rules for crusades.
Wife's off to the UK so hope to finish French Nap command stands which have been dormant since September and perhaps give Battlegroup Kursk a try out on Sunday.
Hang up some curtains in our sons bedroom and a bit of general DIY.
Gaming wise maybe another trial game of Dux Bellorum using counters as well as hopefully a bit of painting of some AVBCW stuff that has been untouched since before Xmas.
I'll be writing a scenario for the club's Market-Garden campaign and probably fit in a game of Blitzkrieg Commander 2 or I Ain't Been Shot Mum. :)

That was you. ;(
Don't you want to share some ? 8)
Varnish and base my Zouaves, I hope. :)
Finishing some of my painting competition entries, and of course some normal units. I have a game thursday and would like to take the chaps for their first outing. All armour is painted and ready to go, but i haven't got a single stand of infantry done yet. Gonna be a tight one!
I'll be playing the "break encirclement" scenario from bkcII. Sp i need the infantry to flee the board first game they tag along ;D
I am heading out to play Gruntz tomorrow, hopefully its as good as people have said it is
More 1866 Austrians... dinner party Sunday...
Club meeting on Sunday. Going to try BKC for the first time - using my 14th Army v Japanese. Rumble in the jungle - Mark II. :D
Having a go at following Dougie's DPM tutorial for temperate DPM on the British Falkland figs I picked up yesterday. Just waiting for the undercoat to finish drying.
Making walls for my incomming SCW order......
IanS
Two buildings done thus far...

Guard grenadiers undercoated whilst the littliist one had a nap! :D
Basing and texturing two X 57mm Anti Tank Gun and 1 X 75mm Pack howitzer. All 20mm stuff.
Washed and stuck together Top Malo House. Also washed and stuck to painting sticks some more of the Argentine.
Daughter is sick so I'm at the house while the wife is at work. Great time for painting but I'm all out of primed figures and it's a bit too damp to prime any figures - plus, I have no craft sticks to put them on anyway.
So until I get a chance to hit the craft stores later this afternoon I'm just spending time on the internet, cleaning figures and probably will be finishing a first draft of a set of operational WWII rules I'm writing.
Sweet FA on the box tonight, wife at work, take away to order, beers chilling outside in the shed and a small game of Bolt Action lined up. If i finish that too early I might drag out Space Hulk and bung some more dice 8)
Had planned on some painting done but our Son got his thumb caught in a door and now has one hell of a bruise under the nail. He's calmed down now but needs a lot of TLC tonight. So plans changed to a bit of painting comp planning followed by two hours of Borgen :).
:oYOWIE!
Making some jungle ruins using Minibits palm trees and MDF circles plus some Hirst Arts bricks and various plastic aquarium greenery.
Basing my first ever pendraken units, well enough for 3 bases, then chilling with a nice bottle of red and watching pulp fiction followed by sucker punch. I can only dream of a takeaway as all we have here is mcdonalds.
Now doing lesson prep, with a table covered in really distracting bags of lead as I also work out what to paint for the comp!
Found me dragon and fantasy human boxed set, got me tribbles, found three lots of Goblin archers (and I've just ordered some more) and a pile of Falklands stuff! !
;D
Hi everyone
I have managed to rebased all the infantry just need to put finishing touches on, I've also revarnished all of the vehicles.

Based coated and inked two more buildings last night, then...
One dragon, three stands of Goblins, two units of fantasy 'medival' knights, some Late Roman light horse archers, Auxilia command and Saxon command bases assembled, plus a couple of FPW French corps commanders and a Tribble Triumphant ;)!
I like February, it allows me to start units that I can finish throughout the rest of the year when I get bored of Franco-Prussian troops! ;D
Sunday morning - running around like a blue-a***d fly gathering up all the necessary bits and pieces for the club game. Bound to forget something, even when I've been through the checklist twice. :'(

Found out last night that some sh*ts had tried to break into our garage (again) >:(. So have spent most of the day getting everything as secure as I possibly can, short of welding the up-and-over door shut!
Fingers crossed I will get some painting in tonight...
Do you want to borrow the German Shepherd Steve? :d
I'll sharpen her teeth...
Put some zombies in the garage...
Hate the world as it is, no one keeps their paws off other peoples stuff.

pulp fictions a damn good movie to watch while painting
Thanks for the offer Nik :). Chatting with our neighbour a few days ago she said that in the 60's nobobdy locked their garages! How times have changed :(.

Dirty thieving bar stewards, annoys the hell out of me things like this. Is the only access from the front of the garage, or is there a back door to it? We completely blocked the up and over door at Dave's house a few years ago, so there's no way the door could open, and secured the back door instead. Of course, that's of absolutely no use to you if the front is in constant use. :(
I've managed to write a whole 27 words of my novel. Not exactly the chapter I was hoping for. :'(

Well, better twenty-seven words of Jane Austen than a whole volume of Len Deighton. Were they twenty-seven good words?
"I have not the pleasure of understanding you. Of what are you talking?" 13 words; crack me up every time.

It's still like that over here nowadays Steve.
Quite a few folk still don't lock their houses or cars.
I can't get out of the habit of locking everything though....Even to the point of double chaining field gates, so they can't be lifted off the hinges easily.
Cheers - Phil
There's a side door as well Leon, which I use everyday as that where my bike is stored. We are also unusual in that we actually keep out car in the garage overnight, rather than leaving it on the road. Luckily we don't use it that much so not a big pain day-to-day. We've had at least 6 break ins and I'm not sure how many attempted over the past few months on the back lane that links our houses. The tea leafs used to do one or two then disappear for a year or two, this time they seem to be trying every garage!
Well..been to the pub too long on saturday ("we drink two or three beers and then go home at 12"..as always didn't quite work out like that ???), but nevertheless finished my 1914 Germans this weekend (this is going to be my entry for the 'anything goes' category..quite an incentive this painting competition)..can't wait for the French to arrive :)
Just get the ATeam to spend a bit of time in your garage ;)

Only risk you take is that they transform your car into an armored ride of pure win and scrap metal :D

Gratuitous posting? You mean it's not free? I must owe more than the National Debt! :o
In that case Nik and Leon must have debts equivalent to Bolivia!
Eh ? :-\ ;) ;D

Don't we all? :D
I'd never do something like that.
Would I?
Perhaps the title of this thread should be "It's fast approaching the next weekend". ;)
Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow creeps in this petty pace to the last syllable of recorded time, and all our yesterdays have lighted fools the way to dusty death....
Mmm, I can write when I put my mind to it.
You quoted the Scottish Play! You're going to die horribly if you're anywhere near a theatre. :o

Actually don't, I have double literacy with my bottom set year 5, it will still be dragging! :D
Double literacy? Is that the ability to read two books at once? :D
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Stop it, Ray.

Dragging for sure and looking forward to the Dux Bellorum sesh with SteveJ and co on Saturday.
Yep, feels like Thursday :(. At least my mammoth garage clear out at work is nearing completion :).

sorry to hear about your attempted break-in the trouble is there is no deterrent for them if they do get caught.
